Self Storage And The American Dream We all have visions of what the American Dream is. A white picket fence surrounding a lush green yard, where our children are playing in the sprinkler as Bubba the bulldog chases them around barking in pure joy. The Jeep Liberty and Toyota Camry are parked in the two car garage of the four bedroom, two story Cape, with a fire pit and patio in the back yard, where Dad is out grilling hot dogs on his new Weber grill, for everyone to enjoy in the spring time sun. While everyone’s idea of the American Dream may be a little different, most can agree that it’s what we all strive to attain. It seems like only yesterday, spending the weekend on the lake in our new 16 foot Wellcraft boat was a common occurrence, and putting an in-law apartment addition above the garage for Grandma was the norm. Many Americans have been forced to make drastic decisions due to job loss and other external factors, which have altered their lives significantly.
Economic Security Gets an Average Grade New Jersey lawmakers could be doing much more to improve the economic security of their constituents, according to a state-by-state scorecard from Wider Opportunities for Women(WOW). The state received a ‘C’ for policy choices made by legislators that directly affect families’ and seniors’ economic security, or their ability to afford basic needs like housing and food. The scorecard examined 85 policy choices. New Jersey ranked seventh among the states and the District of Columbia, which means a ‘C’ grade isn’t too harsh when considering the nation as a whole. “(New Jersey) received the second-highest number of A’s, but it also received a lot of F’s and D’s,” said WOW Acting President and CEO Shawn McMahon. The state saw grades in the ‘A’ range for expanding family leave, as well as its policy of allowing a resident to freeze their credit scores when there’s the potential for identity theft or fraud, but New Jersey received failing grades for a lack of sound sick day policies.

Soon School Will Be Out As I was on my way to work this morning I had to stop a number of times because a School Bus was in front of me. I smiled, as I started to remember what it was like for me and my friends in the distant past. I am pretty certain that our parents had never imagined that today’s children would be picked up with almost door to door service by a big school bus to take us to school. There was no such thing as a cafeteria that made lunch for us. I bet it is rare the occasion when today’s child is given lunch in a brown paper bag. I am thankful that the weather is much nicer this week, than it was the past few. The high is expected to reach just about 80 degrees. Things are also beginning to pick up at the facility as well. People are commenting on the sign we have placed out front. A majority of the units that have been rented are smaller (5×5 and 5×10) sized units, to our new tenants. We had 2 guys chip in on a 10 x 15 sized unit for their bikes and trailer. Brought to you by :
Tenants and People Working Together Well here it is Monday morning is here and it is time to go through the golden gates at the Storage Station Store in South Toms River. The weather is really nice. Can not believe it is spring. As I drive around the grounds I had a chance to talk to a few Tenants that rent here . Today I had to stay a little longer in the Storage Store in South Toms River NJ. As a manager at the Storage Station Stores on 29 Flint road in South Toms River in NJ and on 25 James St in Toms river Nj I I am sad to hear about the people been foreclose on but am proud to hear them say that other people that has rented or is renting from us that to give us a call at either Storage Station Stores in South Toms River and Toms Rivers in NJ and they will help you with what ever your needs is to store and they also say that the people running the Storage Station Stores do think about the people first and are friendly and are always smiling and ready to help.
Seasonal Storage When most people think about self storage they figure it is just for people who are moving and need a temporary place to store their possessions or they think it is for people who are downsizing their homes and have nowhere else to store their things. Well reality is that self storage facilities do provide space for the storage of your home goods but we also provide spaces for many more purposes than just items from your home. For instance many businesses such as plumbers, builders and pharmaceutical representatives utilize self storage space for the storing of their products and materials. This makes their job much less cluttered as they don’t have to keep their work materials at their homes, offices or in their vehicles. Now with this in mind a self storage unit could also be an excellent thing to have for the use of your excess seasonal items. Another great storage idea for seasonal storage that is frequently used especially over the winter time is car, boat and RV storage.
Tenants Many tenants store their holidays items with us, Christmas trees, outdoor inflatable’s, lights , especially good old Santa on his sleigh and all the reindeer. It is so much fun decorating! Lining the driveway with candy canes that glow, my youngest daughter and myself make our porch railings look like candy canes with garland which everyone of my neighbors look for every year it’s now become a tradition, we actually ran out of red, not sure how, but off to the store and within a few hours problem solved! And there is always Frosty the Snowman on our door, he is our favorite!! There is a house around the corner that has so many lights and decorations I have to wonder where they store it all, and may just ask if they have a storage unit for the sole purpose of putting all their decorations away after the season is over.
Geuss Well good morning to everyone here it is half way through the week and I am now going through the golden gates of storage station store in South Toms River on 29 Flint Road. So far everything is looking good around the grounds and units. I stop and talk to a few of the tenant that are here early at the there units. We all talk about the up and coming holiday that are on there way. It is hard to believe this is the month of November already. We at Storage Station stores are always happy at this time of the year because everyone that comes in or call always has a big smile or a happy voice tone. Let talk about the first holiday coming up that is Thanksgiving. We all at the Storage Station Stores like to make the office look nice for the Tenants and other that come in by putting a lot of decorations up on the windows and around the office to give people a happy place to come to. Now we can talk about the day after thanksgiving witch is always a Friday.
For All of Todays Challenges It is now the Middle of May and since the first of this year, it has been one thing after another for families in this great country. Here in the Northeast, we have had more snow fall this winter than we have probably had fall in the past 5 years. The only people that were happy about it were school children and the people that have snow plowing businesses. Now that the weather has warmed up, we no longer have to worry about shoveling snow, we now have to concern ourselves with RAIN. I think Global Warming is upon us, in a big way. Here in the Northeast (New Jersey), we have had at least 2 floods since the spring thaw, and this week it has basically rained since Saturday off and on, and is not expected to stop till this coming Saturday. People are sometimes surprised to find out that small businesses will rent units, and use them as overstock storage and warehouse storage. Brought to you by : Storage :
Self Storage Facilities Helping The Local Community In today’s face paced me-me-me society, many in our local communities have adopted a what have you done for me lately attitude, which is prevalent in many industries , and all of us have had to adapt to and deal with. It’s not uncommon for long standing business relationships to be cast aside for the bigger better deal, or the new guy on the block with a catchy commercial. Gone are the days of mom and pop shops and locally owned businesses making up the economic structure for our towns, and here are the days of big business and corporations taking a foothold in our small town communities. While we all enjoy a good discount when buying an entire years worth of toilet paper and sandwich meat by the entire log, some of us still remember going in to Mr. Williams’ candy store with our allowance and walking out with a giant bag of sugar. For some of us, paying a little extra for our gas or groceries is worth it to keep our local privately owned businesses afloat.
