Self Storage And The American Dream We all have visions of what the American Dream is. A white picket fence surrounding a lush green yard, where our children are playing in the sprinkler as Bubba the bulldog chases them around barking in pure joy. The Jeep Liberty and Toyota Camry are parked in the two car garage of the four bedroom, two story Cape, with a fire pit and patio in the back yard, where Dad is out grilling hot dogs on his new Weber grill, for everyone to enjoy in the spring time sun. While everyone’s idea of the American Dream may be a little different, most can agree that it’s what we all strive to attain. It seems like only yesterday, spending the weekend on the lake in our new 16 foot Wellcraft boat was a common occurrence, and putting an in-law apartment addition above the garage for Grandma was the norm. Many Americans have been forced to make drastic decisions due to job loss and other external factors, which have altered their lives significantly.

I Can’t See The Back Of The Garage As you climb over the giant pile of Christmas decorations that you never got around to putting in the attic, I’m sure the thought of throwing it all away and buying new stuff, shines brightly like a neon sign in your head. When you finally get to that back corner of the garage, where you thought you had left those lawn tools, you realize you can’t remember if it was the shed or the basement, where you had last seen your edge trimmer. This scenario sound familiar? As we mutter to ourselves, words we would never say in front of our kids, we either break things as we toss them around, or we give up half way through it, and end up spending another $100 on something we already have at least one of. Now before you dismiss the idea of renting a storage unit, take a minute and look at the pro’s and con’s of getting a separate space to keep all of those items you use once or twice a year. “Well, why would I rent a storage unit, when I can just put up a shed and store everything in there?”

Self Storage Gains Cachet as Values Rise Home owners and self Storage There are a number of reasons why a home owner would need to use self storage; the list never seems to stop growing along with all the different things we seem to be accumulating at a very rapid rate.. I’m sure with you being the home owner you can think of more then what I am about to list as well. If you think about it how much left over space do you really have in your home? I’m talking about space that can be utilized and put to good use. I know that I don’t have any extra room to put things in my house. If you have younger kids that just makes this battle even that much harder to fit it all. My husband says the bigger the house the more stuff you try to put in it. Everything that you have not touched in months or years if it has not been used but you want it then you should take it to the storage unit. We all know that some of you have more than one car or truck and only a one car grade. Everything that was on ground level or outside was moved to a safer location.

Economic Security Gets an Average Grade New Jersey lawmakers could be doing much more to improve the economic security of their constituents, according to a state-by-state scorecard from Wider Opportunities for Women(WOW). The state received a ‘C’ for policy choices made by legislators that directly affect families’ and seniors’ economic security, or their ability to afford basic needs like housing and food. The scorecard examined 85 policy choices. New Jersey ranked seventh among the states and the District of Columbia, which means a ‘C’ grade isn’t too harsh when considering the nation as a whole. “(New Jersey) received the second-highest number of A’s, but it also received a lot of F’s and D’s,” said WOW Acting President and CEO Shawn McMahon. The state saw grades in the ‘A’ range for expanding family leave, as well as its policy of allowing a resident to freeze their credit scores when there’s the potential for identity theft or fraud, but New Jersey received failing grades for a lack of sound sick day policies.

SELF storage operator BiG Storage is eyeing expansion this year after securing a £11m refinancing deal. Self storage operator BiG Storage is eyeing expansion this year after securing a £11m refinancing deal. The Nantwich company has a £5m turnover and is led by serial entrepreneur Andrew Donaldson. It current has six sites in Chester, Warrington, Wilmslow, Macclesfield, Lancaster and Morecambe but hopes to open more by summer. That is on the back of completing a five-year refinancing deal with Allied Irish Bank. It replaces the previous funding agreement BiG had with NatWest. Chief executive Mr Donaldson said: “Our existing funding was due to run out a year from now. “We have got a very competitive rate and this refinancing gives us a firm footing to look at expanding in the near future. “We are certainly going to consider expanding after the summer and possibly getting a new site in the north west. “Summer is our busiest trading period so we will consider our position after the dust has settled.” His first storage business was Rent-a-Space, which opened its first warehouse in Bolton in 1999.

Pharmaceutical Sale Representative and Self Storage We all know of the profession of the Pharmaceutical Sales Representative but very few people know exactly what they do and how they do it. Many of us would be surprised to learn how they play a role in the everyday life of the medical world. These Sales Representatives work promoting/selling drugs produced by the Pharmaceutical Companies. What we do not realize is how most of these newly released prescription medications brought to licensed practitioners’ attention. To be a Pharmaceutical Sale Representative one must have knowledge of basic human biology, pharmacology and diseases. They have to be able to explain and answer questions about the drugs interactions or side effects. Today’s Pharmaceutical Sales Representative needs to have a college degree and the ability to be able to speak briefly and clearly so the Doctor can hear all the benefits the drug may have to offer. Pharmaceutical Sales Representatives work very long days.

Self-storage industry keeps on keeping | Business & Technology For an industry that emerged from nowhere with no inherent allure, no collective marketing savvy and no tangible product to take home, the rental self-storage industry has piled up impressive numbers. Fifty thousand storage facilities dot the American landscape, most of them austere, nearly windowless buildings wedged into commercial strips and industrial zones. That means the industry boasts more domestic locations than McDonald’s, Subway and Jack in the Box combined. With each storage yard containing, on average, 500 rental compartments, there are literally millions of garagelike vaults in which to store golf clubs, skis and old clothing, said R. Christian Sonne, a self-storage specialist at Cushman & Wakefield Western, an Irvine, Calif., financial-services firm. The combined square footage of those units is three times the size of Manhattan, by one calculation. And still do jumping jacks. “We were one of the first states to adopt this new business, 40 years ago,” Reilly said.
