T-Shirt Refashion: Jersey Necklace Sometimes I feel like I ride on the coattails of creative people. Back in January as I was surfing my favorite blogs, I came across this post on Ultra Vroom about cardigans and fabric necklaces. I instantly fell in love and had to have a fabric necklace for my very own. I week or so later I remembered the large stash of white jersey hanging around the basement and hap-hazardly made my own version of Annie‘s fabric necklace. If I remember correctly, I wore that necklace for 4 days in a row.

How to Turn a Glove into a Chipmunk While gloves and socks are made to be forever together, often they choose to divorce and spend their lives in a solitude. Of course, we have to respect their decision, but it’s hard to look at them being all lonely, laying somewhere in the backs of a drawers. The Wordclock Grew Up! Well, It had to happen. I first published my WordClock project in September 2009. It was a Microchip PIC based clock, using a PIC16F877A microprocessor. Redecorating by Repurposing Ladders and Suitcases! This summer is going to be ALL about thrifting! Garage Sales, Estate Sales, Flea Markets… here I come! Here are a few things I’ve found via blog hopping and Pinterest That have completely inspired me. DIY Solar Bottle Bulb If you don’t have electricity or live in a home with no windows, it’s going to be dark inside, even during a sunny day. Luckily, a bottled liter of water with some bleach can provide approximately 55-60 watts of light from the sun. This simple idea has helped many dwellers in the light-deprived slums of the Philippines. DIY Lace Earrings - HonestlyWTF Dolce & Gabbana‘s Spring ’11 collection undoubtedly furthered our already fanatical obsession with lace. Honestly, how dreamy is the collection?! We thought we’d make good use of some vintage lace trim we had laying around and turn them into earrings similar to the ones we saw on the runway.

Using Up That Sweater So I had some leftover sweater material from the pumpkins I made. The sweater did not felt like I thought it would when I washed it because it wasn’t all wool. But it still was really soft so I thought why not a pillow. I had a bed pillow I wasn’t using so I just cut it down and used it as the insert. Then I cut the body of the sweater from armhole to armhole.

Tinted Mason Jars in Rainbow I love using mason jars for decorating and a seemingly endless supply of craft projects. But rainbow tinted mason jars, just like the vintage ones you can never find anymore? This one might be my favorite project with mason jars yet!
