Three Beans in a Pod: Retro Circles - The Tutorial
I’m calling this a ‘tutorial’ rather than a pattern as I’m not re-inventing the wheel. Although I didn’t work from a pre-existing pattern when making my blanket I know there are many ‘circle in a square’ patterns out there. One from Little Tin Bird that is very similar to what I had done, so I would hate anyone to think that I’m claiming their pattern as my own. So! Here goes... Abbreviations: US crochet terms SS- Slip stitch SC- Single crochet HDC- Half-double crochet DC- Double crochet TC- Treble crochet Ch- Chain Select the hook that works well with the yarn you have. Note: Rounds 2-4 worked entirely in the BACK LOOP ONLY. Round 1: Start with a magic circle and chain 3 (counts as first DC), 11 more DC into the circle, tighten circle. Alternatively, if you’re not sure how to do a magic circle you can chain 4, join to make a ring. Round 2: Chain 3, DC into same loop. Round 3: Chain 3, DC into same stitch. Round 4: Chain 3, DC into same loop. * DC in the next two back loops, 2 DC in next.

Daisy Granny Square pattern
Hello Lovelies, thank you all so much for your wonderful "Yorkshire" comments. I'm so glad you enjoyed sharing my pictures :0) Here is a photo tutorial of my latest square .Quite a few you you lovelies seemed to like it . I expect there are similar patterns already in existence , but this is my own creation and thought you might like to try it ..... It's a simple pattern . The only part you may find tricky is the puff stitch . The pattern is written in U.S. terms. using yellow yarn.......... begin by chaining 4 and slip stitch in first ch to join to form a ring........... ch 1 ........ and work 7 sc into ring, the space you want is the bottom space in the picture above ............ I crochet over the loose end as I make my sc stitches , that way you can pull the centre tighter with it if you want slip stitch into first sc to join and fasten off......... NOTE the next part will seem rather tricky if you are not used to making puff stitches. yarn over hook 3 loops on hook 5 loops on hook
Big Snowy Owl
There’s something about owls. Is it their baby-wide eyes? Their mysterious nighttime habits? Or their totemic gumdrop shape? I’m not sure, but owls somehow manage to be simultaneously enigmatic and totally lovable. This one is heavy on the lovable! Crocheted Stash Basket
It doesn't take many years of knitting before one day you wake up to realize you have a lot of yarn. So you embark on a striped project campaign hoping to pare down, but end up buying more and more yarn because you don't have exactly the right colors, and finally you face one of knitting's truths: stashes are unbustable. And where there's a stash, there's a storage problem. Instead of heading over to the dreaded Container Store, I decided that I would crochet my own storage unit. I imagined something with the feeling of a handmade basket; I wanted it to be nubbly, beachy and beautiful, and so, I turned to Hand Jive's Rustic Silk. One hundred percent Tussah Silk, handspun and handdyed, it is a really special yarn. I love my new basket for yarn, but now I'm wondering if I'll need another one for afternoons in the park, days at the beach, and weekends in the country. Materials 2 skeins of Hand Jive's Rustic Silk, 100 % tussah silk. Pattern Gauge 3 single crochets = 1 inch Finished Size Handles
