Orangette winosandfoodies A CUP OF JO My mom turns 60 today. She is the most wonderful mother you could hope for--she always sounds happy when you call (even to talk about boring things), she somehow knows the definition of every vocab word (the only one that ever stumped her was friable!) and she's always up for a stinky cheese and glass of white wine. And isn't she beautiful? My mom when she was three, living in Manchester, England, with her mother, older brother and grandparents, while her dad was stationed in Korea... At Catholic school in first grade... A romantic photo my dad took when they were first dating in London... With us twin babies in Paris ("We had lots of wild wallpaper, even on the ceilings!" With me at our grandparents' house in Alabama... With my sister in the Tuileries gardens in Paris... With my brother (who I think looks just like Toby here!)... With newborn Toby! Mama, we adore you!!!!!!! P.S.
Chez Pim What Julia Ate A CUP OF JO Toby is just a few months away from turning two, and he's gearing up like a champ. He's been nailing the whining, fussing and general malaise that comes with being two years old. The word "no" is his motto, and, through his eyes, everything is either the worst or the absolute worst. Alex says he wants to write a biography of Toby's year called "A Portrait of Courage." The most popular fillings are feta cheese, spinach, potatoes and ground meat flavored with a variety of herbs and spices. The dough, called yufka in Turkish, is quite labor-intensive. Not many Turkish households attempt to prepare it themselves. The traditional yufka sold in Turkey measures about 40-50 cm in diameter. Aside from yufka, you would need the following: Feta Cheese & Mint Börek Recipe Ingredients 3 yufkas2 cups of feta cheese1 1/2 cup of fresh mint, chopped1 egg1 cup of whole milk6 tbsp butter Method Preheat your oven to 350F. First, crack the egg in a bowl, add the milk and whisk to combine well. I used a fluted tart pan for this. Now, spread half of the filling on top of this layer. Now we will start folding it. At this point, you can sprinkle sesame seeds on top.

How to Get to the Paris Flea Market Mar 16 I feel like there aren’t super clear directions on how to get to the Paris Flea Market so I decided to do this post so you can find it should you ever need to. First, there are lots of little flea markets called “brocantes” going on all the time. These instructions are not for those but for the Les Puces de Saint-Ouen Market, which is the biggest flea market in the world. The market is open: Saturdays 9h to 18h, Sundays 10h to 18h, Mondays 11h to 5h. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Here is a little map of the different parts of the flea market. Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
