We’re watching our friend’s cat right now, and it’s a lot of fun. Kramer and I want to get a pet so badly, but I just don’t think that I have the time, energy, or, frankly, money, to take care of an animal the way I would like to. For now, though, it’s just fun to pretend to have a pet for a week. His name is Eddie and he’s pretty funny. I’ve never had a cat before, but Kramer grew up with them so he’s more accustomed to their behavior than I am.

Herbed Flatbread
I’ve made this recipe several times and hubby and I can’t get enough of it when it comes off the grill pan, bathed in a garlicky, buttery sauce and sprinkled with salt. It’s like a slightly kicked-up garlic bread, but better for all the extra goodness it brings. And it’s delicious and herby and oniony and all things wonderful about soft, chewy bready goodness. It was as if the day I watched Sunny Anderson making it on Food Network was just meant to be.

What is it about bacon & avocado that I absolutely love?? And these quesadillas… with their buttery, crispy, heavenly tortilla shells… are seriously yum. Don’t let the green scare ya, avocados have a really delicious taste. I promise they’re not just thrown in to “healthify” this recipe! ;) Quesadillas are one of our favorite quick and easy weeknight meals.
