Image Noise Reduction | Image Editing Tutorials Image Editing Tutorial You might have noticed that under certain conditions, the image acquired with your DSLR has far too much information, thus creating noise and digital artifacts that mar your photo. This is particularly an issue when you're shooting at night and/or with a high ISO in other low-light conditions... it's the downside of attempting to capture an image when the exposure latitude (the difference between the lightest and darkest section) is wide. So Photoshop has the ability, when properly applied, to eliminate a tremendous amount of that noise. Here are a few methods to do it.

How to Apply a Tilt-Shift Effect to Your Photos in Photoshop | designerbooster In this tutorial, I`m going to show you how to apply a very nice tilt-shift effect to your photos. The result will give you the impression that the picture is just a miniature-scale model. This effect is very easily to achieve in Photoshop following just a few steps and combined with some simple image adjustments will deliver a high-quality miniature-faking outcome. Tilt-Shift photo effect can be achieved straight from your camera while taking photos, using tilt-shift lens, which simulates a shallow depth of field. Many people use the term of “Tilt-Shift” when referring to this type of effect, but more accurate is to use the term called “Miniature faking”. Miniature faking is a process in which a photograph of a life-size location or object is made to look like a photograph of a miniature scale model. Okay, enough talking, let`s do some miniature-faking. Next step is to switch to “Edit in Quick Mask Mode(Q)”. Now press again “Q” or “Edit in Standard Mode”. Bookmark & Share Related posts:

Playing with Displace Filter in Photoshop I have been playing a lot with the Displace filter in Photoshop and I still get impressed with how powerful it is. Even though I have written some tutorials using it, I decided to try to recreate a different effect that I saw in one of the images submitted for the Daily Inspiration. It was a brick wall deformed like it was made of cloth. So in this tutorial, or a quick-tips I will show you how to create a curtain made of bricks or how to deform a brick wall as it was a curtain. To do that we wil use a few stock photos, layer adjustments and the Displace filter in Photoshop CS5. The technique is pretty simple and the tutorial won't take you more than 30 minutes to go through it. Step 1 Open Photoshop and create a new document. Step 2 Let's import another image, now of a girl opening the curtains. Step 3 With the Lasso Tool (L) or the Pen Tool (P) select the empty white. Step 5 Now select the hands/arms of the girl and the curtains. Step 6 Step 7 Go to Layer>Layer Mask>Hide Selection. Step 8
