13 iPhone Apps for Graphic Designers
If you’ve found a greater purpose for your iPhone besides calling or Googling directions, then you’d probably like to explore what your iPhone can offer you in the realm of graphic design. I’ve compiled a collection of the most useful 13 iPhone apps for graphic designers that I’ve come across. Each contributes and offers a unique ability to aid you on your journey through graphic design. We’ll be taking a look at applications that help with task management, enhance photos, sketching and a whole lot more. As usual, feel free to add your comments below and let us know which ones you like best and which ones you use. 1. Palettes is a great app that allows you to create color schemes. 2. OmniFocus: Because task management is important for any graphic designer (despite the unhealthy managing many of us take part in), I’ve decided to include OmniFocus, a standalone application or a conjuncture app that syncs to your Mac. 3. 4. 5. 6. ZeptoPad is a sketch pad tool for your iPhone. 7. 8. iBlueSky
Creatively Designed Typographic Posters Of NYC & Other Cities
Design by Aida The creative project 'Show Us Your Type' has different designers submitting typographic illustrations of different cities. Curated by the collective NEUE, each edition focuses on a city, and designers who wish to participate can upload a poster on the website. Some editions even have themes—for example, the posters that represent Tokyo took on the form of GIFs. Apart from world famous cities, the project also features more neglected ones like Cairo, Beirut, and Melbourne. Like the nature of the project, designers from all around the world are showcased as well. While some designers chose to showcase the iconic aspects of these cities—The Statue of Liberty comes to mind—others chose to bring out the different cultures of each city, showing how vibrant they truly are. Google Webmaster Tools: An Overview
Google Webmaster Tools (GWT) is the primary mechanism for Google to communicate with webmasters. Google Webmaster Tools helps you to identify issues with your site and can even let you know if it's been infected with malware (not something you ever want to see, but if you haven't spotted it yourself, or had one of your users tweet at you to let you know, it's invaluable). And the best part? It's absolutely free. If you don't have a GWT account, then you need to go get one now. This guide to Google Webmaster Tools will walk you through the various features of this tool, and give you insight into what actionable data can be found within. Verification Before you can access any data on your site, you have to prove that you're an authorized representative of the site. There are five main methods of verification currently in place for GWT. The HTML file upload. The Dashboard Now that you're verified, you can log in and start to examine the data for your site. I was commissioned by Puma Social South-East Asia to create 4 illustrations for 4 cities: The 4 illustrations will be limited posters, given in Puma Shops. Every one is based on the same layout, including a city monogram and the main buildings. Here’s a small preview of the steps:
How to Make 3D Paper Snowflake
Winter is coming (there's no doubt about that;)) so we thought you might need some new projects related to this season ;) That’s why I’m happy to bring you easy and pretty quick idea for a winter decoration. We decided to make our version of the project, and, as always, we added something new to it and improved it a bit ;) 3D paper snowflake can simply be a winter-time decor, but if you use red paper sheets, it will resemble Christmas flower. We used double-sided paper (white/silver) to make it more snowflake-like, and I think it was a good choice - these two colors make it look even more three-dimensional. You can mount your 3D Paper Snowflake on your door instead of Christmas wreath, hang it over a dining room table or in a window. Let us know how you liked this idea on our fan page :) We do our best to bring you high-quality tutorials, but it’s good to know if we’re on a right path!
