Free Things to Do - Free Tips on Saving Money at WomansDay.com - Womans Day - StumbleUpon As much as I love the word, I have to admit it makes me suspicious. Just this week I won a “free” vacation, but the fine print says I need to send in a cashier's check to claim my prize. Sadly, “free” is usually a sneaky way to clean out my wallet. But every now and then an exception comes along that's truly free-no strings attached, no hidden agendas. Here are my favorites, and all you really need is an Internet connection to go online. Fried Mozzarella Cheese Sticks We continue onto Week 13 of College Football, which means another delicious Football bite! I can’t believe this is the last week of the regular season. It went by so fast! Today we are playing our biggest rival-Michigan. At the beginning of the 2011 season the Big 10 Conference was split into two six-team divisions. Ohio State and Michigan were placed in separate divisions, but the Michigan–Ohio State rivalry continues to take place at the end of the regular season every year. This easy appetizer makes the perfect bite for tailgating parties. Vintage Book Planner Tutorial I desperately needed a day planner. With so much going on I can no longer keep it all straight in my head ’cuz something’s always falling through the cracks. So on my way home from the morning school drive today, I went to the office supply store to shop for one. Nothing bulky, nothing leathery, don’t need pockets, grid paper, address book or all the bells and whistles, just a plain ol’ planner, but a spiral one for sure, so it will lay flat while I’m planning. Enter: A cute vintage book from my stash, one simple but pretty file folder and this simple tutorial! Find a cool vintage book close to the size and thickness of your planner and either a manila folder, decorative folder or heavy card stock. With a craft knife, gut your book. Save the pages for your craft projects. Trim away any extra scrap along the inside of the book cover, but careful not to cut through the cover itself. Draw fold lines just inside the drawn book line. Cut the folder about 1″ outside the fold line. Start planning.

With the use of GPS there is really not much use to all those maps we collected through out time...but somehow I have a hard time throwing them away. How about this lovely way of repurposing them?? I think they are super cute for a corridor to the kids room, or a small side wall!!I also love the vignette inspiration (Tray + vintage spoons & other + apothecary jars= total bliss!!). Corndog Muffins | sportsglutton The Corndog Muffin Can’t say why, but I’ve had a hankering for corndogs for the past few weeks. Ill-equipped with no deep fryer in the kitchen and uninspired by recipes for baking corndogs that look nothing like usual State Fair corndog , Craftyglutton came up with the suggestion to transform the all-American meat on a stick meal to the all-American meat muffin. There are a few great advantages to making a Corndog muffin, mainly the elimination of deep-frying and the ability to incorporate additional ingredients that allow for a greater depth in flavor. For this recipe I used both bacon and grilled anaheim peppers to going along with the good old hotdog. Naturally, you can stuff whatever else moves you into the muffin to create your own Corndog Muffin (cheese, grilled onions, etc.) Preparation time is about 20-40 minutes (depending on the ingredients used) and 25-30 minutes for baking. Enjoy! The Necessities: Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease muffin tin. Like this:
