Flashcards | free printable flashcards, matching worksheets, printable bingo cards, printable games, activities, handouts and more There are 100+ sets of that I used to design curriculums for children ages 3-9 and 6-10. However, I use most of them up through to high school students and many with adults. See the left-hand menu for the current list of sets available. READ ME FIRST: These cards are excellent image quality and as such some of the files are quite large (1mb~4mb.) I suggest looking at the hand out first. About the flash card sets: There are some multilingual handouts in French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Italian, Russian, and Portuguese for teachers of other foreign languages. The pictures were all put together with children in mind. The printable flash cards and game cards do not have the vocabulary written on them. large flash cards do include articles at times. PowerPoint Flashcards and PowerPoint Presentations for teachers : These contain text in each slide. The power of bingo: I use the printable bingo cards quite often in class. The hand-out is something I'm a little proud of.
Englishland April Fool’s Day is the 1st day in April. It is celebrated in the United States, England, France, Scotland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Germany and Norway. The custom of shouting “April Fool!” comes from the United States. Nobody knows where the “April Fish” comes from. Perhaps, because April has the best fishing or because the zodiacal sign of Pisces rules in April. Today, in sweet shops they sell chocolate fish for April Fool’s Day. Friends send one another postcards, with some silly dialogue, with fish pictures. Other people pin a paper fish on someone’s back without being caught. In the USA people pins a paper sign on someone’s back saying “Kick me.” The most common joke is to make someone perform an unnecessary action, such as checking for an open zipper or a missing button. In Mexico and Spain, April Fool’s Day is on December 28 (called Day of the Holy Innocents). Generally, people play a trick on one another just to say : “I care you”. Mrs. Robinson's Classroom Blog I am very fortunate to teach at a school in which parent involvement is high, teachers are respected and supported, and education is valued. Home-school communication is one aspect of management that I pride myself on, as I make myself quite accessible to my parents. My parents, students, and myself are (usually) all on the same page, and I think that has a lot to do with the routines I establish early in the school year. Here are some of the things I do to make sure we're all "in the know": 1. Monday Planners - On Monday mornings, I have my students fill in their weekly planner. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. I also email my parents frequently as things come up, send home study guides for tests, and generally do my best to be proactive, instead of being reactive.

English Worksheets Four Free Assessment Apps for 1:1 Classrooms One-to-one technology can transform a classroom. When implemented correctly, students are engaged and excited to learn, and teachers can assess their progress in real-time. The amount of technology resources available for educators can be overwhelming. Whether your students regularly visit a computer lab, borrow a cart of laptops, or have access to a class set of iPads, there are a variety of assessment tools that are free and customizable. Here’s a list of free assessment tools that I love and use in my own classroom: Assessing Student Understanding: Create your own assessments using Socrative. Don’t worry about uploading class lists or creating individual accounts because students type in their names as the first question they answer. Assessing Student Work So much more than Facebook for your classroom, Edmodo is a fantastic tool for collecting student work and assigning quizzes. Even if you only use Edmodo in your classroom on a set of 1:1 technology -- like I do on my students’ iPads!
Organization Welcome! Here is the view of our first grade hallway at Wayland Bonds Elementary! This year we decided to go with a camping theme. Here is the camping welcome sign as you enter the first grade hallway. We each took laminated scrapbook paper and glued it to the wall with a cloths pin. My Classroom Pictures Here is a look into my classroom! This is my teacher desk. I have each pod of desks labeled with group signs. Click HERE to download my group signs from my TpT Store! The baskets on the shelf are each student's individual book basket for their independent reading books. I use this pocket chart to store the student's library and lunch cards. Weekly Activities and Worksheets This is how I organize the week's worksheets and activities. Sharpened Pencils When my students need a sharpened pencil they just come get one from the drawer. Need a Color/Found a Crayon When there are crayons found on the floor, the students simply put them in the bin. Centers Each center tub is labeled with a sign. Files
