How To Style Maiden Braids Last month I did a makeover story with Kelsie and had many requests for a maiden braid tutorial. Yesterday she came in and we photographed these simple step by steps. Kelsie has extremely long and thick hair, but anyone with shoulder length or longer can do these braids (see my photo below for an example). Steps 1-2: Braid two strands on each side of a center part. Steps 3-5: Wrap braids around the crown of your head and pin in place with one pin each. Step 6: Arrange braids so that they cover the front of your head like a headband. Steps 7-8: Pull the rest of the hair into a ponytail and pin it into a cute messy bun. Step 9: Add final pins and spray.

Today I'm going to share with you this super-easy umbrella refashion that I did with a dollar store shower curtain liner! Materials: boring old umbrella (on hand)Dollar Store shower curtain liner (mine had several different shades to choose from!) Cost Estimate: $1 1) First you want to measure all the way around the bottom of your umbrella, and double it for how much curtain liner you will need (plus extra for a flower, and top ruffles). 2) Then sew a straight stitch (on your machine's longest stitch length) down the middle of all the strips, and pull the bottom thread to gently gather. Fun!

You might want to lay out wax paper so the clay won't stick on your surface first. Pinch the sides like pictured above, and then pinch both sides together. Next take a small bit of clay, roll it out and flatten it like in the first picture. To make holes, it helps to put a pencil or any barrel shaped object inside - it's used to hold the shape. Bake your clay according to the directions on the package. I hope you liked it.
