About OECD OECD Home › About the OECD Our mission The mission of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world. The OECD provides a forum in which governments can work together to share experiences and seek solutions to common problems. Nino Hernandez, who weighs only 10 kilograms, has not grown since he was two years old. The previous titleholder was He Pingping of China, who was 4cm taller and died on March 13. However, Guinness says Mr Hernandez's title could be up for grabs very soon. Khagendra Thapa Magar of Nepal is expected to take over after he turns 18 on October 14. Mr Hernandez, 24, works part-time as a dancer and says he is very happy with his height because it makes him unique. He does, however, have some medical problems, with cataracts in both of his eyes which require surgery that his family cannot afford. Other than his eyes, he has no medical complaints. But he told UK newspaper The Guardian it bothers him "that people are [always] touching me and picking me up". Topics: offbeat, people, colombia
