The Big Bang Fair Brain Teasers for Kids and Adults Gatsby - Support for practical science in schools In April 2012, following a period of research, we began a 2 year programme supporting practical science in schools and colleges, focused on better assessment, improved access to teaching resources, and strengthened roles for technicians and senior leaders. We believe that school and college students in the UK deserve a rich and varied programme of practical activities as part of their science education in order to provide them with the motivation and skills needed to progress to higher education, STEM employment and to become scientifically engaged citizens. In Spring 2011 Gatsby began work to build an accurate picture of the health of practical work in secondary school science in order to understand how best to support it in the future. Riddles and Puzzles WELCOME to [wu:riddles]! This is an archive of problems I've been collecting since the Spring of 2002. They come from many places, including word of mouth, college courses, books, and job interviews for hi-tech positions. If you are a first-timer, here are some problems I recommend you start out with: The riddles are organized by difficulty as judged by myself: easy, medium, and hard. Hints are available for some riddles. If you need solutions or more hints, please post to the FORUM! My favorite kind of puzzle satisfies the following criteria: 1) It seems impossible, 2) Most people can understand it, and 3) It does not require specialized knowledge to solve.
