Academies maintain parent confidence by offering meal information online - ParentPay
Date: 29/12/2011 An increase in the number of Academies wanting to offer meal information online to parents has followed recent concerns about nutritional standards being maintained. Jamie Oliver and LACA, the school meals association, have joined the recent debate, arguing that Academies should continue to maintain healthy nutritional standards which are statutory in Local Authority controlled schools. Clint Wilson, CEO of school online payments provider ParentPay stated: “Since the recent media attention around Academies and nutritional standards, we have noticed an increasing number of schools and caterers contacting ParentPay. Many Academies want to ensure that parents remain confident in the nutritional standards of meals on offer, by making this information available to parents online.” The recent School Meals Research carried out by LACA and ParentPay also found that over two thirds of parents want more school meal information available online.

Glyn School
Glyn School is a boys' comprehensive secondary school – with a partially co-educational sixth form - in the borough of Epsom and Ewell in the English county of Surrey. The school was rated as an "outstanding" school in January 2009 and at the next, and most recent inspection in May 2012 by Ofsted, the non-ministerial government department of Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Schools in England. History[edit] The school was originally called Epsom County Grammar School for Boys, which then was changed to Glyn County Secondary Boys Grammar School (informally Glyn Grammar). After its transformation into a comprehensive school it was named Glyn ADT and then Glyn Technology School. Admissions[edit] As of September 1993, the sixth form began accepting applications from female students, generally from neighbouring girls' school, Rosebery.
