Please see I've received many emails from readers since sending out that announcement wishing me well in this new enterprise. I hope all of my readers understand that the task of administering 145,000 subscribers had became too much for me to handle by myself. On July 24, the two newsletters will merge, and you will see a new logo for Windows Secrets & Support Alert, as shown in the image at left. I'm becoming the senior editor of the combined newsletter. The combined newsletter will come out weekly rather than monthly, and my freeware reviews will be in every second issue. While New York City wasn't on the list, Geek.com has noticed that Google Fiber is advertising for a Google Fiber regional sales manager for the New York City region."As a Google Fiber Regional Sales Manager, you will manage multiple teams that evangelize Google Fiber services to MDU (multi-dwelling apartments and condos) and large SMB owners," notes the listing. So far, Google Fiber has targeted low hanging fruit -- or markets where competition is particularly stagnant and next-gen telco options (like FiOS) aren't -- like Provo, Utah. New York City is a curious potential market, however.
