Rustic Elegant Australian Vineyard Wedding This gorgeous Australian wedding was shot by the fabulous American photographer Kristen Weaver, who actually met the bride, Rosie, through Facebook! On the day that she got engaged, Rosie posted on Kristen’s photography page, asking if she would fly to Australia (from her home in Orlando) to shoot her January wedding. Well, lucky for us, Kristen said yes, and the rest is history- all here for us to see today! Rosie’s mom designed and sewed all the gowns (yes, including that dreamy lace wedding dress!), her friend Christine created all the stationery and Rosie and her husband, Jackson, did all the planning and design! From the bride (in her adorable Australian accent!) As I am a photographer myself, we were very particular with who we wanted to photograph our special day. We were extremely blessed in every aspect. Growing up in Adelaide, South Australia, I’ve always loved the idea of a vineyard/rustic wedding (as we are known for our beautiful hills and vineyards). xoxo, Elisa

Rock 'n Roll Bride · Edward Scissorhands ‘Winter in Summer’ Wedd I am so flippin’ excited to share this wedding today. It’s like looking in a wedding mirror – if I’d known about all the fabulous alternative weddingy goodness that’s out there when we were getting married I reckon our wedding would certainly have shared many design elements with Karri & Ian’s big day. The pair were married in the Botanical Gardens at the St. Regis Resort in Laguna Beach, California. Karri envisioned a dark and whimsical “winter in summer” wedding, inspired by the movie Edward Scissorhands. “One night I was watching my favorite romance movie, Edward Scissorhands” Karri began “and something magical occurred to me. “My wedding planner, Kimberly Bradford introduced me to Square Root’s Alex Amidi who was with me all the way in designing the decor. Karri walked down the aisle in a Simone Carvalli dress, a veil from Artikal Handcrafted Millinery, shoes from Betsey Johnson and Hello Kitty Jewellery by Tarina Tarantino to the theme song of E.S. Claire Pettibone - Couture Bridal Strapless ivory French cotton voile empire gown with tulle overlay, large peach silk rose and ribbon. The contrast of matte and shine, precious and simple, enhances the beauty of each, just as the wedding gown enhances the bride. Inspired by the three Graces, I imagine a rambling garden where spring is eternal. Out of this poetic vision steps a timeless creation of femininity glimpsed through a gossamer veil. For the woman who is ethereal and flirtatious, confident and romantic.
