Tutoriel DIY Bracelet matériel A DIY tutorial is so much fun. Do you love a fun hardware bracelet DIY as much as I do? They are easy (well, usually), fast and stylish. And you know my love of hex nuts. Want to give it a try? You will need: Stretch Magic cord. If you can’t find sequins on a string, you can use a small needle to stack them and make the process go faster. And make sure you are threading the sequins on in the same direction. When you need a break from stringing sequins, go ahead and glue your hex nuts together with E-6000 glue. When you have enough sequins strung to wrap around your wrist add the hex nuts. Read the Stretch Magic instructions on how to knot the cord. And you’re done! Stephanie Gerber Stephanie Gerber is a mother of 3 who writes for pretty mommies on a budget.

DIY Bracelet en cuir Knot | Whimseybox When I saw this knotted leather Celine bracelet (#3 on ‘The List’) in a recent Harpers Bazaar I instantly thought DIY! I had a bunch of leather scraps leftover from some past DIYs so I decided to use some of the gold. I started by measuring out a piece 5” wide by 15” long. (If you have large wrists you may want a slightly longer piece. Remember that you can always cut off the excess.) Cut out the rectangular shape. Fold in the sides length-wise so that they meet in the center. Tie the piece into a basic overhand knot. Adjust the leather until you have a nice looking knot on top and the (unsecured) ‘seam’ is on the back. Flip the bracelet over and apply some leather or fabric glue to the inside/wrong-side of the leather. Before you fold the leather down into place, add a small neodymium magnet about a 1/2” from the end. Then press the leather together and wipe away any excess glue that seeps out the end.

Button Statment Rings | It’s September and that means it’s time to add another statement piece to your collection…. obviously! I heart almost every piece Nicole Richie designs for House Of Harlow 1960, especially her oversized rings. As amazing as these rings are they’re also an easy DIY. My friend Jenni, from I Spy DIY, did a project a few months back where she transformed buttons into earrings. Buttons, buttons everywhere!! Materials: Buttons, Clippers, Glue, Rings With Flat Tops (available at the jewelry supply store) Use your clippers to remove the shank from the back of the button. Once you’ve made the back of the button flat, use an ample amount of glue to secure the ring to the back of the button. Here’s another hint: If you can’t find a flat ring base, Ring Pops are a fun alternative. Once the base has dried, glue on the button. I now thing I have enough new statement rings to get me through the month.

DIY : Rainbow Ribbon Necklace // Collier à Rubans Arc-En-Ciel | Recently I had the urge to make something cute as candy. This rainbow of pastel colours is the perfect accessory for a Spring outfit. I wore it out today with a black teeshirt and mint jeans – perfectly sweet. There are quite a few steps in this tutorial but it’s an easy necklace to make and I think it’s the perfect gift for the girlies – in fact I made mine in the good company of a friend, a mug of tea and a chocolate cupcake ! To make your own Rainbow Ribbon Necklace, YOU WILL NEED : Pour fabriquer ton propre Collier à Rubans Arc-En-Ceil, IL TE FAUDRA : - Five or six different pastel ribbons / Cinq ou six rubans pastels - Metal links and a clasp / Quelques anneaux et un fermoir - Gold leather (white would also look very pretty) / Du cuir doré (blanc serait aussi très joli) - A box of matches or a lighter / Des alumettes ou un briquet

Cashmere Cuff - Knitting Crochet Sewing Crafts Patterns and Ideas! Like Molly, my summers as a kid were filled with the making and trading of friendship bracelets. I would pin vibrant strands of DMC to my jeans or even to my Keds, fervently knotting up bracelets every chance I got. I am thankful Molly has brought them back into our lives here at Purl Soho, but now... I cannot get enough! Loving the nostalgia of the friendship bracelet, but also feeling a bit "adult" since my thirtieth birthday last month, I decided to approach my childhood obsession from a new perspective. But what I toned down in color, I amped up in gauge, reaching straight for my favorite chunky yarn, Jade Sapphire's 12-ply Mongolian Cashmere. But since no one is too old for a pop of color, I couldn't resist a little! The Materials To make Versions 1, 2 and 3: 1 skein of Jade Sapphire's 12-ply Cashmere, 100% Mongolian cashmere. To make Version 4: I used the Silver Pearl 12-ply Cashmere listed above and Blue Sky's Worsted in Ecru from my yarn stash. The Pattern: Version 1 Cut the Yarn

The first tutorial of 2011! The mild temperatures of the last couple of days got me all energized and in an early Spring mood. This was especially true at the beginning of the week when we had a lovely sun on top. I have been cleaning out closets, laundering sheets and blankets, doing lots of ironing, ... and a couple of early Spring crafts, one of which even resulted in this tutorial - the first one of 2011! So, yesterday when my hands were itching to make something I came up with this very simple, whimsical fabric sausage necklace. I got the idea for this necklace while shopping at COS, one of my new favorite stores - and as it turns out this store might become a favorite of K. too. I decided to give the fabric ones a try. You'll need: Instructions: 1. Isn't it lovely!? Please note, this tutorial is intended for personal use only. If you made something using a tutorial found on this blog or if you got inspired by something you found here, make sure to post your pictures here.
