Mousse graffiti | La communication sensible MΛRYNN Artist Mia Liu Recycles 1000s of Guggenheim Museum Admission Tickets into Astonishing Works of Art Mia Liu Guggenheim Ticket Art - StumbleUpon With visitors from around the world flocking to the Guggenheim Museum in New York City each day, you can imagine how many admission tickets need to be printed. Taiwanese Artist Mia Liu thought these tickets could live on as something more than just used pieces of paper, and has transformed thousands of them into dramatic three-dimensional sculptures that seem to suck the viewer into a vortex. The recycled art turns an object that was once the means of entry into an art gallery into something that hangs inside one. In her work, Mia Liu enjoys exploring the hidden world of every day objects. By examining mundane items through a different angle, like these thousands of admission tickets to the Guggenheim, Liu reconstructs the simple and ordinary into the elaborate. As she states on her website: “I attempt to tell about the overlapping of the two world in my recent works, through a rather physic way. Liu graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2007. + ITPARK/ Mia Liu Via Neatorama

AMS Design Blog: Product Spotlight : Knock Knock Stationery I first saw a knock knock product in the shop at the Saatchi gallery here in London and it was love at first site. Self proclaimed as putting the fun in functional, their products are totally useless but incredibly amusing and make for great gifts. Check out their website here. Marta Klonowska Glass Animal Sculptures « Inhabitat – Sustainable Design Innovation, Eco Architecture, Green Building Each animal created by Klonowska looks as though it has exploded, sending jagged pieces of itself outward like electrified fur. Each animal created by Klonowska looks as though it has exploded, sending jagged pieces of itself outward like electrified fur. Perhaps a statement on the fragile nature of life or the danger of wild creatures, each animal seems to pulsate with a crystalline energy. Says Klonowska of her work, “My animal figures are part of historical paintings, where they play a secondary role to the sitters. Klonowska has received such important awards as the Artist in Residence at both the Cité International des Arts in Paris and Akerby Skulpturpark in Sweden. + Marta Klonowska Via Geekologie Images courtesy of Lorch + Seidel Contemporary
