Binghamton Calculus Placement Test
After you supply some information that identifies you, your self-evaluation test will be displayed. You will have 60 minutes to complete the test. There are 33 multiple-choice questions on the test. You get one point for each correct answer. A score of 20 or more indicates that you probably have minimal preparation for Calculus. After you finish the test, a report containing your score and an evaluation will be displayed. The report will also be emailed to your binghamton.edu address. You can take the test again, but you can't take it more than once per day.
Binghamton University (BING) – Math 222 – Calculus 2 (Alex Feingold) |
Course Description: Students will be introduced to new classes of functions including the exponential functions, logarithm functions, and inverse trig functions. Students will then learn how to apply the techniques of Calculus (differentiation and integration) to those functions. The method of L’Hospital’s Rule will be taught for dealing with certain limits. Various techniques for integration will be taught (integration by parts, trig integrals, trig substitutions, partial fractions, numerical approximation of definite integrals, and improper integrals). Infinite sequences and series will be studied, and methods for investigation of their convergence will be taught (the integral test, the comparison tests, the ratio and root tests, alternating series, absolute convergence and power series). Methods of representing functions as power series with a radius of convergence will be taught, as well as the Taylor series representations of a given function. Like this: Like Loading...
Indeterminate Forms
An indeterminate form does not mean that the limit is non-existent or cannot be determined, but rather that the properties of its limits are not valid. In these cases, a particular operation can be performed to solve each of the indeterminate forms. Indeterminate Form 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7.
