What is the probable outcome?

Educate ! Organize ! Agitate ! MacGyver, Survivalist, or Stockpiler: The Urban Survival Skills Everyone Should Know It's your word against his.. If he ain't talkin, your word pretty much wins. Also, don't try draggin him back in your house after he's dead.. As soon as you're involved in a shooting like this, call the cops, then a lawyer.. You are so bad ass. Seriously, you're advocating shooting a potential burglar with your "Mossy, Remy or Mr. We're not all in middle school, you know, and life is not like a Die Hard movie. I don't want to kill anyone. I am not running from my house. You can be a moral coward and subject yourself to the will of a criminal, however I will suffer no such victimization. @jodark It's not cowardly to leave and certainly not morally cowardly to leave if there is an intruder in your house. Unless you were a soldier or a police officer, you have probably not faced a life or death situation, and frankly, you are likely not equipped to fight back adequately. But staying in your house just because you paid for it and everything in it?

Accidental discovery dramatically improves electrical conductivity Quite by accident, Washington State University researchers have achieved a 400-fold increase in the electrical conductivity of a crystal simply by exposing it to light. The effect, which lasted for days after the light was turned off, could dramatically improve the performance of devices like computer chips. WSU doctoral student Marianne Tarun chanced upon the discovery when she noticed that the conductivity of some strontium titanate shot up after it was left out one day. "It came by accident," said Tarun. The phenomenon they witnessed—"persistent photoconductivity"—is a far cry from superconductivity, the complete lack of electrical resistance pursued by other physicists, usually using temperatures near absolute zero. And while other researchers have created persistent photoconductivity in other materials, this is the most dramatic display of the phenomenon. The research, which was funded by the National Science Foundation, appears this month in the journal Physical Review Letters.

News.com Global Guerrillas Top 10 Homemade Remedies for What Ails You If you're prone to cold sores, you likely know that feeling you get where the blister is going to appear. Something I read about years ago almost always "short circuits" the attack: direct heat! When you're pretty sure a sore is about to appear, or you already have the first tiny blisters, try the following: - dampen a face cloth in water - put it in the microwave for about a minute (CAREFUL it'll be very very HOT) - when the cloth is just cool enough to be handled, apply a portion of the cloth to the lip where the sore is appearing. - when that section of the cloth starts to cool, use a warmer section Repeat the nuke, cool slightly and heat up the lip process 3-4 times. The key is to use at much heat as you can stand. That hasn't failed me yet. If you try this please, please remember the two cautions above: the microwaved cloth will be largely untouchable for at least a couple of minutes and be very careful touching it to your lips.
