Dinner Rolls - Baking Glory - The very best of baking, recipes from all around the world, tested in my own kitchen. Visit our sister site JoCooks.com for more recipes. Whenever I am bored of the same old bread I find at our local grocery store, I turn to my baking hobby and start making some. This time I gave these guys a shot and let me tell you, nothing compares to fresh baked rolls just pulled hot from the oven. This recipe is definitely a “must try” for all baking passionate out there. OK, start with your mixer bowl. Pour the flour (duh!), a tsp of salt, ⅓ cup of sugar (but save like a tsp for yeast mixture), and mix for a bit. In a cup or one of those measuring things, add the yeast along with a tsp of sugar and half of the milk, lukewarm. Now take a sauce pan and heat the milk and butter, until the butter melts. When you are satisfied with the result, take it out and punch it down for a few times, then cut it into 16 pieces. At this point you can brush the rolls with the egg whites and sprinkle with poppy seeds, or sesame seed, or… whatever you want. Enjoy your rolls, I couldn’t stop from eating Ingredients Have fun!

The Pastry Affair - Home - Garlic Parmesan Pull-Apart&Bread - StumbleUpon I once made the driest pancake in the world. I can see you sitting at home, staring at your computer screen, and scoffing at my bold statement. Driest pancake in the world? Yeah, right. How would you even know? But this is the truth, my friends. Let me share my story with you. A few years back, I made chocolate chip pancakes. Quickly flash to the next morning. Still cold. Confusion. Was the microwave broken? I got angry, as one will when they want food and want it now. When I took it out, the pancake was slightly less cool. It took me a few hours to realize what had happened. It only stands to reason that my pancake was so utterly dry that there wasn't enough water in it to be absorbed by the microwaves. Thus, the world's driest pancake was born. And to think I took a bite... Luckily, this Garlic Parmesan Pull-Apart Bread is definitely not dry. Chocolate Cupcakes with Flaming Strawberries - StumbleUpon Call me easily amused, but these little torch-topped cupcakes delight me. Besides being a cute novelty item for a party, I think they would add a little drama to the end of a romantic meal. I've been looking for something different to serve for Valentine's dessert, and this is definitely different. The strawberries are hollowed out and filled with a bit of liquor, then ignited with a match. For the cake portion, I chose a One Bowl Chocolate Cupcake recipe because 1. it's quick 2. it is easy, and 3. it fits my prerequisite for a light ending on date night. I should say, a light ending provided you don't eat too many. The cakes are just sweet enough, and have a light, fluffy crumb - the perfect vehicle for rich chocolate buttercream. Notes for flaming strawberries:Any alcohol below 80 proof will not ignite well. Shaina made a margarita version of this on Babble Food. Trick or Treat! Halloween Cookie Dough Pops | Kevin & Amanda - StumbleUpon Happy Halloween! Here are some fun treats to help celebrate today. I made these sprinkled Halloween pops over the weekend, and they turned out so cute, I just couldn’t not share them today! We all know that cookie dough is the best part of making cookies… And what could be more fun than cookie dough dipped in candy and covered in sprinkles? It’s cookie dough! These guys are pretty straight-forward. Use your favorite cookie dough recipe, substituting 2 tbsp milk for each egg. Scoop cookie dough about 1.5 tablespoons in size and roll into balls. After you’ve converted all your cookie dough into upside down pops, freeze them for 15-20 minutes until firm. Working in batches, remove 4 pops from the freezer at a time. Melt your almond bark in a small glass with enough coating to completely cover the pop in one dunk. You’ll want to make sure your almond bark stays hot, so reheat it in the microwave for 30 seconds every 8 pops or so. Now for the best part… Sprinkles! Or some candy corn will do.
Chocolate Chip Lava Cookies I am so in love with these darn chocolate lava cookies! What is it about a warm, gooey chocolate chip cookie stuffed with decadent, rich, melted chocolate that makes it so irresistible?? Especially when topped with vanilla ice cream. These are one of Kev’s favorite homemade treats, and he usually asks me to make them at least once a week. All you really need for these fabulous cookies is your favorite cookie dough and a bag of chocolate chips. Since these cookies are absolutely gushing with delicious rich chocolate, my favorite chocolate chips for this recipe are the Hersey’s Milk Chocolate chips. Now let’s make some chocolate lava cookies! Place the flattened cookie dough in the bottom of a well-greased standard sized muffin tin. Now for our gooey, rich milk chocolate filling. Lay the Ziploc bag flat in the microwave, spreading out the chocolate chips in a single layer. Cut a small tip off the Ziploc bag and layer over the cookies. Heaven help me. Now here’s how I like my cookies. 1.
