Welcome to Shortmarks The SPARC Research Data Sharing Policy Initiative SPARC has received funding to establish an education/advocacy initiative focused on emerging policies for sharing research data - similar to our successful program in the Open Access space. The aim of the project is to contribute productively to the process of shaping emerging funder policies and practices for sharing research data that are academy-friendly and promote the fullest possible accessibility and utility of research data. The initial phase of this initiative will be used to develop a strong understanding of the current status of research data sharing policy development, as well as identify a common set of principles that fully articulate the value of data sharing, and that can be used as a baseline - and a benchmark - for the development of data sharing policies and practices. The scientific and scholarly research community is increasingly focused on improving the accessibility and utility of digital research outputs—including articles, data, software, and more.

Subverting the system - Math Grad Software Posted by Scott Morrison in Uncategorized. trackback Subversion, often abbreviated as SVN, is a “version control system”. Prompted by Nathan’s request to hear about collaborative software for mathematicians, and the comments on Ben’s post on the subject, I’m going to briefly describe how you might use Subversion to collaborate on a maths paper. Why would you want to try it? You might have heard of one of Subversion’s many cousins: CVS, essentially made obsolete by SVN, and perhaps darcs or git, both of which are “distributed” systems, not requiring a central repository. How do you use Subversion? Each SVN repository has a URL, for example something like subfactor planar algebras. To get started, you “check out” the repository: svn checkout That should create a local directory called “d4″, containing several subdirectories and files. svn up and svn commit -m "This is a message describing the changes I just made." svn add my-new-file.tex

Personnellement je l'utilise. by arnomix May 28
