Academic Schools The University of Alaska Southeast is committed to providing opportunities for students to reach their academic, personal and career goals. UAS consists of four Schools: Arts and Sciences, Education, Management and Career Education. Students in the School of Arts and Sciences receive a personalized education amidst spectacular natural beauty in the humanities, social sciences or natural sciences. The School of Education is known for its undergraduate and graduate programs; students can earn a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in one-year. Admission requirements
The University of Alaska Southeast is an open enrollment institution, students can take classes at UAS either as degree seeking students who apply for admission or as non-degree seeking student who do not have to apply. UAS Admissions Office The mission of the Admissions Office is to encourage prospective students of all ages and backgrounds to pursue an undergraduate education at the University of Alaska Southeast and assist undergraduate and graduate students through the admissions process. Admission to Michigan State University is competitive, but there are no minimum requirements. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. MSU strongly encourages a college preparatory curriculum in high school. Students also are advised to apply early in their senior year.
