One was for a receptionist/executive assistant and another for a personal/executive assistant. For each ad on Craigslit, there were a few things included to see if the applicant could follow simple instructions — such as: put "JOB RESPONSE" in the header of your e-mail response, and provide your expected pay (it was okay even if the applicant said "open" as long as they acknowledged my specific request). The responses were somewhat overwhelming in numbers but completely underwhelming otherwise. You would NOT believe the careless of the "cut and paste" responses, from people who are applied for jobs that require "attention to detail." And that's just what it takes to get someone hired — we could write a whole 'nother book on why we've fired so many people for cause.
