Pattern: Made in K-Town by Barbara Please respect my rights as designer: do not sell, share, translate, or publish any parts of my patterns (including pictures) online or elsewhere without my permission. Do not claim this pattern as your own. Feel free to sell the finished items you’ve made from my pattern! If you do, a link-back to my blog www.made-in-k-town.blogspot.de would be great. Thank you! Material: For my square I used small amounts of Rico Essentials Cotton DK and a 3.5mm hook. Some general notes: For this pattern I use US crochet terms. I did NOT write down the chains at the beginning of each round: for the first stitch in every round, work chains (e.g. 3 chains for the first dc) OR start with a “standing stitch” i.e. join the new color with a slip knot or a simple loop ON YOUR HOOK and just work the first sc or dc as usual. 1st Round: start with a magic ring and work *2dc, ch-1* eight times inside the ring (8 dc-2 groups, 16 dc's). Enjoy!!

Mahala Mandala crochet square | Y u l i Hello! Its me again with free pattern / photo tutorial. This time I would like to share with you crochet Mandala that I made last summer but it was put away in one of my many baskets and forgotten((((( . I quickly pulled out Vinnis cottons, made few different color combinations… the flower shape of this motif can create awesome summer shawl, can be used as applique or table runner/coasters… and many other pretty things! Then I decided that it will look great as a square motif, so I re designed it and now it can be used in many different strait and square ways – blankets, cushion, vests, tops, bags… you know what I mean;) So here it is Mahala Mandala! ~ Mahala Mandala crochet square ~ You will need ~ DK yarn or any other yarn of your choice (I used Nikkim cotton “Vinnies Colors”) 6 colors of your choice; ~ 4 mm hook; ~ tapestry needle ~ scissor Abbreviation This pattern uses American Standard Abbreviations Note: sc rounds – 1 chains in the beginning of every row counts as a sc. Block 18: Kata {Photo Tutorial} Block 18 of the Block a Week CAL (hosted by Kimberly Slifer) is Penny Davidson’s gorgeous (and surprisingly easy) Kata. After making this square I can definitely say that I am a bobble girl! Once you get into the rhythm of making the bobbles/clusters, they just fly off your hook. Those of you who haven’t joined the CAL yet, you are missing out! This is an excellent way to make crochet-buddies and learn new stitches and techniques. Kata Crochet Square {Pattern © Penny Davidson from TheCreativePenny. Suggested Materials Penny lists two options, as well as gauge and size (see pattern). Size Using a 4 mm crochet hook (US G/6 UK 8) and double knit yarn, as I have done, your finished square should be about 9.5″ big. something pretty – the pattern | mille makes... about this pattern: i found this pretty picture on pinterest and was totally smitten. after a lot of googling and searching i wasn’t able to find the pattern, so decided to figure the pattern out myself. dottie angel‘s pictures of her thrifty find was very helpful, and i was happy to find out that this is actually a pretty simple pattern, so novices – don’t be alarmed! just go ahead and try it out :) for more pictures, check out this, this or this post. about yarn/hook: any yarn with corresponding hook will do, i find that moving up a hook size from what the yarn says makes a softer material that would work better with a blanket. i’ve made pillows with these squares so that wouldn’t matter so much. i used sandnes duo (dk weight) and hook 4 mm and the square measures 8×8 cm, with garnstudio drops paris (aran) and hook 5 mm one square is a bit over 10×10. first a couple of basics: 2. the first dc on row is made by chain 3 begin with colour of flower. chain 4, make circle with one slip stitch

Large circles in a square, tutorial After telling you about my new blanket last week, I received a few questions about how to make the large circles and squares. So here is a tutorial about them and about how to make them into a blanket. You start the same way as for a small circle and crochet 3 rounds as described here. Round 4: ch 3, dc into joining stitch, dc into next 2 st, *2dc in next st, dc into next 2 st* , repeat until end, join with a sl st into 3rd of initial 3ch. Round 5: ch 3, dc into joining stitch, dc into next 3 st, *2dc in next st, dc into next 3 st*, repeat until end, join with a sl st into 3rd of initial 3ch. Round 6: ch 3, dc into joining stitch, dc into next 4 st, *2dc in next st, dc into next 4 st*, repeat until end, join with a sl st into 3rd of initial 3ch. Round 7: ch 3, dc into joining stitch, dc into next 5 st, *2dc in next st, dc into next 5 st*, repeat until end, join with a sl st into 3rd of initial 3ch (84st) Now before I go on, I’ll explain first the dbtr stitch: That’s it!! Daisy Puffagon Tutorial Any yarn you wish to use. I’d recommend using one hook size down from the recommend hook size for your yarn. This pattern is written in UK terms. American terms are given below in bold. WRITTEN PATTERN: Abbreviated instructions can be found at the end of the tutorial. I'm quite pleased with how 'seamless' I managed to make these look. I like to start of these little puffs with a magic loop. So, assuming we've now all got a magic loop, let's begin. First of all, make 1 chain and then make 6 double crochets (dc) into the loop. Once that's done we need to close up the circle. So take the waste end of the yarn (not the one still attached to your yarn ball) and pull it up until the stitches form a circle. It should look like this (left pic). Cut your yarn and using your hook, pull the end of the yarn until the end comes through the stitch. Now we're going to just pull the end of the yarn through that first dc of the round. So now it should look like this. Now make 1 chain. Then make 1 more chain.

::::: RUNDE 1: Der innere Strahlenkreis :::::
