The War of the Flea. A thousand bites of a flea are worse than one bite of a tiger “The Flea bites, hops and bites again, nimbly avoiding the foot that would crush him. He does not seek to kill his enemy at a blow but to bleed him and feed on him, to plague and bedevil him, to keep him from resting and destroy his nerve and morale………… All this requires time. Still more is needed to breed more flees. What starts as a local infection must become an epidemic, as one by one the areas of resistance link up, like spreading ink spots on a blotter”. (Robert Taber, The War of the Flea) Sun Tzu lived 2500 years ago. Imagine a huge demonstration with a hundred thousand participants. Such mass actions do not belong to a War of the Flea, they are in contradiction to the simple guidelines of Sun Tzu, “let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt”. Many small actions make a War of the Flea that differs fundamentally from mass actions. Participants in mass actions want to air their dissatisfaction. The 1% is protected by servants.

Writing Is Thinking Writing is intimidating. There’s this expectation of artful precision, mercurial grammatical rules, and the weird angst that comes with writing for other people. You start with a tidy nugget of an idea, but as you try to string it into language, it feels more like you’re pulling out your own intestines. But you’re not a writer, so this isn’t your problem, right? Well, the thing is, writing is not some mystic art. Done well, it means you’re contributing signal, instead of noise. No one’s born with this skill, though. But writing sucks. I mean, yeah. Think about the things you had to look up on the internet just to figure out how to do your current job. Choosing the words to describe your work means you’re doing it on purpose. Starting with something messy#section2 Thinking: check. When the words aren’t forthcoming, stick to paraphrasing. In other words, it’s a rough draft. With this, you have formally started writing. Coming to your point#section3 Your rough draft is the yakking.

The Mercedes-Benz Hunter X6 Will Keep You Alive During the Zombie Apocalypse When (technically, “if”) the zombie apocalypse occurs, a safe mode of transportation will be vital for getting your loved ones to safety. Luckily, Mercedes-Benz is already all over that problem you’ll face during the end of the world. Meet the Mercedes Hunter X6, a custom-built rugged off-roading vehicle that can handle almost anything the elements (or zombies) will dish out. Not only that, but you will look extremely cool while you protect the family and friends you’ll make during the apocalypse. It’s a super-luxury defense vehicle. Mercedes Benz The X6 Hunter has a 6×6 drive train and can keep approximately 6 people safe. Not only can it handle just about anything, but it looks so great while it does it. Basically, everything you could ever want is included in this mobile safehouse. It’s no tank, but it can certainly keep your family safe and dry. Off-roading through the woods would be a cinch, too. The inside of the Hunter might be one of the classiest survival vehicles you’ll see.

F2P can be your friend. Resources for designing F2P games. : gamedev The ESCAPE Cabin by Kelly Davis Is Not What it Seems: It's an RV If you think that what you see below is just an adorable log cabin, you’d be dead wrong. Sure, it looks like a quaint cabin (in almost every way) but thanks to some sneaky architecture that’s just a disguise. Kelly Davis, the architect who created this faux-cabin at Canoe Bay Escape, is a visual trickster (and quite possibly a magician). It may look like a cabin, but this is actually an RV (no joke). This “cabin” is only 400 square feet, which doesn’t sound like much. But it’s actually bigger than some 1 bedroom apartments. The ESCAPE cabin was originally conceived as a high quality cabin, NOT an RV. Now, ESCAPE is part of the tiny house movement. It doesn’t look like most other RVs, but it fits the standard of the Park Model RV, which can be up to 400 square feet. Not only is the cabin made of extremely high quality materials (featuring cedar lap siding, LED lighting, Energy Star appliances and much more), but you never know how small it is thanks to the brilliant design.

Making a Stealth (Smokeless) Fire [Video] : All Self-Sustained Share this article First of all let’s see why does smoke come from a fire? Let’s say you have a nice fire going, and it has burned down to the point where what you see is a collection of hot “glowing embers.” The fire is still producing a lot of heat, but it is producing no smoke at all. You might have gotten to this point either by starting with logs in a fireplace or by starting with charcoal. If you have a fireplace or wood stove, or if you have been around a lot of campfires, this little scene is very familiar to you. There are four things that you find in any piece of wood: Water - Freshly cut wood contains a lot of water (sometimes more than half of its weight is water). When you put the fresh piece of wood or paper on a hot fire, the smoke you see is those volatile hydrocarbons evaporating from the wood. This explains why you see no smoke from a charcoal fire (or a fire that has burned down to embers). Coke from coal is the same thing. By Self Sustained

Open letter to the lawful gun owners of Connecticut My name is Col. Reaper, Commanding Officer of the Arizona State Militia. Few of you may know who we are, rest assured this is not mutual. You are not alone. If we are to learn anything from our past it is that civil war serves to benefit no one and rarely turns out as anticipated by the aggressor when righteousness is on the side of the oppressed. Signed, Col. SheerWind's INVELOX Wind Turbine Can Generate 600% More Energy Than Conventional Turbines US-based wind energy company SheerWind just unveiled the INVELOX – a tunnel-based wind turbine that can produce up to 600% more power than traditional wind turbines. The company states that after extensive field-testing, their new INVELOX turbine “significantly outperforms the traditional turbine” and could reduce installation capital costs to less than $750 per KW. The INVELOX energy system works by capturing ground-level breezes and funneling them through a tapering passageway that naturally accelerates wind flow. Unlike other turbines, it also minimizes environmental and animal impact, and it requires no government subsidies to be profitable. All of this makes INVELOX a potentially game-changing renewable energy solution that could be easily integrated within commercial renewable energy operations. SheerWind claims that the INVELOX turbine can operate at wind speeds as low as 1 mile per hour, and it has generated a record high energy production capacity of 72%. + SheerWind Via Phys.org
