The comment, made by Sheikh Saleh al-Lohaidan, came as activists step up their campaign for women in Saudi Arabia to be allowed to drive. Women are being called upon to defy the ban and drive on 26 October. The campaign, started on Twitter, has attracted more than 11,000 signatures. It is the latest in a series of campaigns over the past two decades for women to be allowed to sit behind the wheel. The ban on women drivers, while informal, is enforced by Saudi police through fines and arrests. "If a woman drives a car, not out of pure necessity, that could have negative physiological impacts as functional and physiological medical studies show that it automatically affects the ovaries and pushes the pelvis upwards," Sheikh Lohaidan told the news website Sabq.org.

Nimrod Back and his team are not among those who have forgotten, and they are looking to add an extra button to Android devices with an interesting new product called Pressy. It plugs into the headphone port, and adds all kinds of quick-access functions. View all The button itself, while cool, is only useful with a good application behind it. The application sits in the background and monitors the headphone jack for input from the user. Another major part of this project is the API, which will allow developers to build their own functionality with the button. Android 2.3 and newer is supported, so even some moderately old devices can get in on the action. iOS, on the other hand, is not. The Pressy team is seeking funding on Kickstarter. Crayon art :) they are all over pinterest....(i still am not signed up for pinterest because i don't have time for one more thing but browsing is fun!) so we made one. i took a box of 64 crayons and took out the blacks and browns.i used another small box and doubled up on the good colors i liked and hot glued them to the top of our canvas. then we turned our blow dryer to hot on high. not long after you set the hair dryer by the crayons they get shiny and then the wax starts to melt! and it dries really quickly too. seriously. what could be happier than this?? GREAT project. loved it today is the first FULL day with ALL my kids in ALL day school.yeah...i am smiling as i type that. it's good. it's quiet. i am rockin' it. removing wallpaper.....making code for craft weekend stuff.....doing my hair....going to lunch..... it's all good. hooray for school!
