Brownie Cookies
Brownie Cookies This time of year I love to go on my annual Holiday baking spree and bake all kinds of cookies. From the new cookies that I find to my all time favorites. This year my baking spree is a bit different. You see one of my favorite parts of my annual baking spree is having my mom and my friend Beth right there alongside me. Baking, decorating and boxing up goodies for our neighbors and coworkers.
Chocolate Chip Lava Cookies
I am so in love with these darn chocolate lava cookies! What is it about a warm, gooey chocolate chip cookie stuffed with decadent, rich, melted chocolate that makes it so irresistible?? Especially when topped with vanilla ice cream. These are one of Kev’s favorite homemade treats, and he usually asks me to make them at least once a week. They are so simple to whip up, and such a treat! Let’s make some right now :)

Bacon-wrapped Jalapeno Chicken Bites - StumbleUpon
610K+Add bacon to anything and it will fly off the table. That’s what a caterer once told me and I believe it. Certainly applies here. Whether you’re planning a cookout this weekend or cooking indoors (rain predicted here in Texas), grill up a few of these sizzling treats for a quick appetizer or serve as an entree.
I Believe I Can Fry: Baked Rosemary Garlic Fries - StumbleUpon
Back in February, I visited one of my best friends in Cleveland. One of the dishes I sampled were the "Lola fries" at B-Spot, Iron Chef Michael Symon's burger joint in the Summit Mall (not to be confused with OUR Summit here in Birmingham). The Lola fries were simple; skinny-cut fresh fries, flavored simply with rosemary and sea salt.
Bacon Wrapped Jalapenos Recipe
One of the best grilled appetizers is bacon wrapped jalapeno peppers. This recipe is so easy to make and it only consist of 3 ingredients; fresh jalapenos peppers, cream cheese, and bacon. The jalapeno peppers are first sliced in half then seeded, stuffed with cream cheese, wrapped with bacon and grilled. You should consider wearing gloves when slicing and seeding the jalapenos because they can burn your hands. With the play offs coming up and the super bowl near this is a perfect recipe for game day. Enjoy.
Slutty Brownies - StumbleUpon
Now I don’t want to over sell this, so I’m going to be conservative and simply say, that these are… The Best Brownies In The WORLD. I know, big statement. They’re called Slutty Brownies because they’re oh so easy, and more than a little bit filthy. They’re best served warm from the oven, with good quality vanilla ice cream (devastatingly I didn’t have any in the freezer this time, so I guess I’ll just have to make them again). They take about 45mins to make, including baking time.

Monday, April 11, 2011 Bacon Egg Pancake Cups About a month ago I made some bacon egg toast cups. What I really liked about them is that they have all the breakfast items in one neat package. I started thinking about how it could be better, and I realized what would be a more perfect breakfast for me is to have pancakes, bacon and eggs.

french onion soup
I’m firmly of the belief that no matter what ails you in the realm of the kitchen, onion soup can cure it. Never cooked before? Don’t think you’ll be able to pull off the kind of cooking you believe you need to go to a restaurant to experience? Start with onion soup. Have only $5 to spend on dinner? Refrigerator is almost bare?

Pin ItHardly a day goes by when I don’t eat peanut butter. My first memory of eating it was when our babysitter used to make me mashed bananas with peanut butter as a special treat, and I just gobbled it up. Now I love peanut butter on my whole wheat toast, in my ice cream, covered in chocolate, with carrots or apples, and stirred into my Asian noodles and marinades. (I even enjoy licking it off a spoon.) Fortunately, this is a healthy indulgence (well maybe not so much when it’s mixed into ice cream), as peanuts are powerful nutrients, full of healthy monosaturated fats, antioxidents, vitamin E, manganese, protein and fiber.
