La Organización Mundial de la Propiedad Intelectual (OMPI) es el foro mundial en lo que atañe a servicios, políticas, información y cooperación en materia de propiedad intelectual (P.I.). Es posible presentar solicitudes, realizar búsquedas o administrar patentes, marcas, dibujos y modeles industriales y denominaciones de origen. O, simplemente, conocer todos los pormenores de la P.I. y las formas de protegerla. Pueden seguirse los debates sobre políticas, y las negociaciones sobre el desarrollo futuro de la P.I. en los comités permanentes y las reuniones de la OMPI.
