Roselinde Torres: What it takes to be a great leader

Expertise and Impact - BCG Fellows - Roselinde Torres Roselinde Torres is a senior partner and managing director in BCG's New York office. She joined BCG in 2006 and is a senior leader in the firm’s practice area and the global leader for the topic. Roselinde is a member of BCG’s Americas management team and she has given a TED talk on the "What it Takes to Be a Great Leader" as part of a series of talks curated by TED and BCG. Roselinde has been a BCG Fellow since 2009. Her research topic is leadership. In the twenty-first century, we will see fewer heroic leaders who single-handedly rally the troops to charge the hill and will instead see great leadership teams in which the most senior member acts as a steward, demonstrating empathy and appreciation for others’ point of view and contribution and holding all members of the leadership team accountable for shared leadership.
