7 Super Snacks That Heal
If some doctors had their way today, Americans would be more medicated than industrial feedlot cattle. But what most people don’t realize is that the first line of defense against stress, fatigue, depression, and so many other maladies is found in supermarket aisles, not in the drug store. Research shows that the vitamins, minerals, and active compounds specific to certain fruits, vegetables, and even chocolate and red wine have an immediate and lasting impact on your mood, your health, your fitness — even your sex life. Whether you have a big presentation at work, or the need to burn a few hundred extra calories a day (and who doesn’t want to do that?), why not put food to work for you? Here are seven research-backed quick cures just waiting for you in the fresh produce bins and supermarket shelves.

In Japan, Matcha is considered an integral part of the very essence and soul of the country itself. Matcha is perhaps the most refined tea available on the market today. The first thing you will notice upon opening the packet is that Matcha is finely powdered and looks like an emerald colored flour. When brewed, the powdered leaf is not strained or left in the pot, but is whisked into a frothy concoction and consumed. Because the leaves themselves are imbibed, brewed matcha contains higher concentrations of vitamins and antioxidants than most other teas, green, herbal, or otherwise.

Baking: 100% Whole Grain Molasses Cookies
Molasses cookies seem like such a boring cookie. But I love them. When I was small, I really loved the Archway molasses cookies.

Nic and I spent a bitterly cold weekend in Chicago that one weekend when the Midwest was experiencing bitterly cold weather. It never fails, when we go to Chicago, it is cold. Perhaps that is because we always go in February, but still. In a winter when we have been relishing the warmer temps, it had to be cold {and windy} when we made the trek to the windy city. Despite the frigid temps (and a stolen iPhone) we had a great time paying far too much for parking and cabs, catching a Broadway show (American Idiot) at the Oriental Theater, visiting the Museum of Science and Industry and indulging in some fantastic vegan food.

Mom sues Nutella on behalf of consumers nationwide - Mankato attachment parenting
A California mother has filed a class action lawsuit against Nutella, claiming that she was misled by the company into thinking the chocolate hazelnut spread was healthy. Athena Hohenberg filed the suit last week, claiming breach of warranty and violation of California laws on false advertising and unfair competition. In the suit, she demands that the company cease its dishonest marketing techniques, launch a corrective ad campaign, "restore the amounts by which Ferrero was unjustly enriched" and destroy its images with the misleading information. The lawsuit seeks damages for Hohenberg and any consumer who purchased Nutella since January, 2000. Hohenberg claims that she has been feeding her four year-old child Nutella for breakfast because the company's commercials led her to believe the product was healthy. Nutella has been marketing its chocolate spread as part of a healthy, balanced breakfast on its website and in commercials.
Cherry Clafoutis Recipe
Cherry Clafoutis or Clafouti (pronounced kla-foo-TEE) is a rustic looking French country dessert from the Limousin region that has become very popular in North America. Traditionally it was made with the first sweet cherries of the season, and the cherries were left unpitted so their kernels could release their delicate almond flavor as they baked. It is a pudding (custard) of sorts, very similar to the Apple Popover (pancake) recipe on the site.
