Casa Batlló Park Güell Park Güell (Catalan: Parc Güell [ˈparɡ ˈɡweʎ]) is a garden complex with architectural elements situated on the hill of El Carmel in the Gràcia district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It was designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí and built in the years 1900 to 1914. It has an extension of 17.18 ha (0.1718 km²), which makes it one of the largest architectural works in south Europe. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Works of Antoni Gaudí".[1] Origins as a housing development[edit] The park was originally part of a commercially unsuccessful housing site, the idea of Count Eusebi Güell, after whom the park was named. Municipal garden[edit] Gaudí's multicolored mosaic salamander, popularly known as "el drac" (the dragon), at the main entrance, as restored after the vandalism of February 2007 Gaudí's mosaic work on the main terrace It has since been converted into a municipal garden. Park Güell de Antoni Gaudí Le Park Güell fût commandé par Eusebi Güell qui voulait créer un parc privé de grande classe pour l'aristocratie de Barcelone. Le Park Güell se compose de structures de pierre délirantes (voir ci-dessous), d'un travail de céramique saisissant et de fascinants bâtiments. Vous pouvez voir d'après cette photo la fontaine dragon de Gaudí placée à l'entrée du Park Güell. Ici vous trouverez une allée soutenue par des colonnes torsadées semblant avoir poussé du sol comme des troncs d'arbres. Gaudí était très inspiré par la nature et ses formes et les a utilisées dans ses oeuvres. Un peu plus haut dans le Park Güell vous trouverez une terrasse donnant une splendide vue panoramique sur le parc et sur la ville de Barcelone. Dans le Park Güell se trouve également la maison où Gaudí vécu la fin de ses jours. Si vous allez visiter le parc en métro, attendez vous à marcher au moins 20 minutes en remontant la pente raide de la colline. Métro: Lesseps (Ligne Verte, L3).
Park Guell by Antonio Gaudi Park Güell was commissioned by Eusebi Güell who wanted to create a stylish park for Barcelona aristocracy. The park contains amazing stone structures (see below), stunning tiling and fascinating buildings. You can see from this picture the Gaudí dragon fountain that is at the entrance to Güell park. This dragon is adorned in beautiful coloured tiling and there is something rather hypnotic and magical about it. Here you can see a walkway supported by twisting rock pillars that seem to be growing out of the ground like tree trunks. Gaudí was strongly influenced by natural shapes and used them in his work. At the top of Güell park is a terraced area where you get a wonderful view of the park and of Barcelona City. Park Güell also has a small house in the park which Gaudí lived in at one stage. MIM Bruxelles Peu après la création du Musée en 1877, les collections étaient entreposées rue aux Laines, dans une annexe du Conservatoire royal de musique qui avait été doté de nouveaux locaux, conçus par l'architecte Jean-Pierre Cluysenaar. Situé rue de la Régence, le Conservatoire recevait également une maison de maître à l'angle du Petit-Sablon dans laquelle s'installait son directeur, François-Auguste Gevaert (1828-1908). Avec l'accroissement des collections, il s'avéra nécessaire de trouver de nouveaux locaux et de créer de meilleures conditions de conservation dans les réserves. La situation devint très critique et, en 1926, le mécène Louis Cavens menaça même de retirer les dons qu'il avait faits au mim si le gouvernement ne prenait pas les mesures adéquates. Promesse lui fut faite ... mais seule une solution provisoire fut trouvée. Les réserves de la rue aux Laines furent agrandies et le bel immeuble au coin du Sablon fut transformé en salles d'exposition.

Parc de la Ciutadella The main attraction has, from its establishment hitherto been the zoo. This was due to out of the 7,000 animals present the albino gorilla Snowflake, who has died in 2004. Near the zoo's entrance, the famous climbable gigantic stone mammoth is to be seen, just as the metallic cat in another perimeter of the park. Another yet to be mentioned conspicuous characteristic is the park's paths' layout, one half being made up by sinuous and rather natural seeming trails, and the other by direct and refined ones.
