Crazy Cat Hat Author Brenda K. B. Anderson Seduced by beads I don't know about you, but I was a happy and contented knitter before I knew about beads. Many times I could be found following patterns word for word, knitting late into the night without hardly a thought of tweaking or fiddling with the thing. All that changed when I started to design my own knitting. Shortly after, beads came into my life, two events which I can never regard as coincidental. Now I can't even think about knitting anything without wondering where I can manage to throw in some beads.

I hadn’t really heard about playsilks before that but upon further investigation found out that they’re awesome. They can be pretty much anything your child wants them to be: capes, dresses, blankets, scenery, tents and the list goes on and on. So, seven of us got together with our seven toddlers (all under 2 years) and dyed 42 playsilks in total. We started around 11 am and didn’t finish until about 5 pm.

FO: Lace Stockings for Meeee Posted by pieKnits on December 7, 2011 Finally finished! After a bit of second sock syndrome for a month in between, I cast off for these last week. Paisley Tee for Me Yes, I'm gracing you with a awkward lovely self-photo today. I used the timer on my camera and got some excercise doing it. Anyhow, it's the t-shirt you're supposed to be looking at. Yup. I made this little paisley tee for me and it was a piece of cake. (Chocolate with chocolate frosting, if I could have my pick.)
Porom PoromThis season's second hat is quite different from the first, but a fun knit nonetheless and an interesting shape and silhouette to spice up any handknit hat collection. Porom is a shapely hat worked in Shetland wool. The simple, elegant lace repeat and healthy dose of slouch make it a great Fall accessory. The hat is worked with approximately 190 yards of DK-weight shetland wool.
