Toddler Overalls Can you think about overalls without thinking about Huck Finn? I can't. In order to honor Huck's supremely kicked back attitude, I used Louet's Euroflax Linen to make these overalls. The yarn is rustic and unfussy and, most importantly, it's rugged enough to handle a raft ride down a river. These overalls are designed to last a long time with a loose and easy fit. The Materials 2 skeins of Louet's Euroflax Originals, 100% Linen. The Pattern Gauge 22 1/2 stitches = 4 inches in stockinette stitch Finished Size To fit an 18 - 30 month old. 25 inches from the bottom hem to the top of the shoulder strap and 26 inches around the waist. The Legs (NOTE: I used a provisional cast on for the legs in order to be able to knit the hem in place rather than having to sew it. With some scrap cotton yarn, crochet a chain about 70 stitches long. Place a marker on the right needle and join for working in the round, being careful not to twist the stitches. Knit 8 rounds. Purl 1 round. Joining the Legs The Body ...

Crocheted Stash Basket It doesn't take many years of knitting before one day you wake up to realize you have a lot of yarn. So you embark on a striped project campaign hoping to pare down, but end up buying more and more yarn because you don't have exactly the right colors, and finally you face one of knitting's truths: stashes are unbustable. And where there's a stash, there's a storage problem. Instead of heading over to the dreaded Container Store, I decided that I would crochet my own storage unit. I imagined something with the feeling of a handmade basket; I wanted it to be nubbly, beachy and beautiful, and so, I turned to Hand Jive's Rustic Silk. I love my new basket for yarn, but now I'm wondering if I'll need another one for afternoons in the park, days at the beach, and weekends in the country. Materials 2 skeins of Hand Jive's Rustic Silk, 100 % tussah silk. Pattern Gauge 3 single crochets = 1 inch Finished Size Approximately 13 inches in diameter and 9 inches high The Bottom The Sides Handles

Big Snowy Owl There’s something about owls. Is it their baby-wide eyes? Their mysterious nighttime habits? Or their totemic gumdrop shape? This one is heavy on the lovable! Sarah Moli Newton Applebaum : INVAERK Sarah Moli Newton Applebaum Posted by Tine on mar 21, 2012 in Art, Trend | One Comment Knit Knit knit… 1 Comment laine | Pearltrees 14. april 2012 [...]
