e-Archivo | UC3M Madrid The origins and development of the European organisations - The origins and development of the European organisations By way of introduction… The ‘European organisations’ section documents the major international organisations involved in European integration that have been established in Western Europe since the end of the Second World War: the European Communities in the European Union (EU), the Council of Europe, Western European Union (WEU) and the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). The aim is to provide accurate information for research and education purposes that gives an insight into the major milestones in the development of the European organisations. The subjects covered are accompanied by introductory texts and illustrated by a wide range of documents from a variety of sources. Each European organisation is presented in the same way, with a basic framework containing key reference documents complemented by an analysis of the organisation’s origins and development, composition, organisation and operation, activities and seat. Ce groupe de veille et d’analyse démontre sans détour qu’il est nécessaire de modérer la vision des théoriciens du libéralisme le plus absolu. La mondialisation ne s’oppose pas au patriotisme économique et à l’Etat stratège. Bien au contraire, elle élargit le champ des possibles pour développer l’influence et le rayonnement des Etats à l’international. Certains secteurs jugés plus stratégiques que d’autres font l’objet d’une attention toute particulière. DUMAS OpenstarTs: Home OpenstarTs is the institutional repository of the University of Trieste. It has been set up in compliance with the guidelines of the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI). It collects, manages and stores the digital objects produced by the University and aims at their quick and effective dissemination. OpenstarTs is based on self-archiving: the author submits both the metadata and the data, i.e. describes the document by filling in a guided web form and uploads the relative file into the repository. In order to simplify the procedures and to avoid duplications OpenstarTs is interfaced with the University authentication system (LDAP) and with other institutional data bases, such as the student registry.
