Recover This! - Drive Slagging | Complete Data Destruction on eecue.com - (dave bullock) Recover This! Due to the recent MIT study concerning data recovery from old hard drives, we decided that the only fool proof means of data removal was complete destruction of the disk platters. We started with two hard drives that had failed for various reasons. The data on the disks was sensitive, like most personal data you will find on any random hard drive. We finally decided that the only sure way to thwart data recovery was to melt down all the aluminum contained in the platters. We started by putting the drives into a steel crucible: Next CHS fired up Arclight's furnace and adjusted the flame for proper heat dispersion: Then he inserted the crucible into the furnace: After a few minutes we noticed toxic smoke rising from the furnace vent and decided to take a look inside. We realized we should have removed the PCBs from the drives first... oh well: Pretty soon the only solids left in the crucible were the steel caps that enclose the case: Good luck recovering data from this: Our furnace

Examples: If betty is 1, then two lines are printed: betty=1 and betty=2. The while statement provides an iterative loop. while( expression ) statement... statement is executed repeatedly as long as expression is true. while(*pointer! SeaMonkey Free Software Alternatives – OpenOffice and Other Free Software Man, software can be expensive. With a fully loaded Microsoft Office suite costing up to $350, and the pro-level version of Adobe Photoshop costing an extra $1300, the price of basic software utilities can easily trump the cost of even a high-powered new computer. So, much as doctors may find themselves recommending generic drugs over pricey name-brand pills, I increasingly find myself advising people to procure free, open-source or Web-based alternatives to expensive programs. For most users, these applications should serve as adequate replacements for big-name apps. On the downside, their (lack of a) price tag means you can’t expect on-call tech-support agents to walk you through problems—but the programs tend to have legions of devoted users who are willing to fill this role for free on Web-based tech-support forums. Virtually every type of program has a free alternative—from word processors to image-editing programs to time-wasting Tetris clones. Instead of Buying:
