FLIPPED LEARNING IN FINLAND: Research for flipped learning Flipped learning in mathematics has recently attracted considerable interest around the world. Even though the manner in which each teacher actually flips the teaching and learning process of mathematics in his or her own classes varies, flipped learning does require the teacher to reassess his or her pedagogical habits and beliefs. Flipped learning raises the question of whether humanist perspectives, such as freedom, dignity, and potential of humans, should have a higher profile in teaching and students’ learning in mathematics. The main aim of this blog and articles published here is to elicit fresh understandings about the culture of flipped learning and to consider it as a pedagogical approach in mathematics via general theoretical point of view offered by the learning and motivation theories. To meet the aim of this big research project I am concentrating on teachers who regularly use flipped learning in their class.

Deltagare i studien är en lärare i biologi, en studiehandledare och en lärare i svenska som andraspråk samt 14 nyanlända elever. Of course learning is a dynamic field and it will always keep developing as human knowledge progresses. But the last two to three decades in particular have witnessed the outburst of several new conceptions and theoretical frameworks that, among other things, attempt to capture the latest developments in learning . This cheat sheet features a number of these concepts. I am also sharing with you the visual below which highlights three more concepts shaping the 21st century learning. Good use will make what you have written easy to follow; bad use might mean your style is disjointed, probably with too many short sentences, and consequently difficult to follow. Fonetik för nybörjare - digitalt - Mia Smith Ett ämne som berörs av språklärare med jämna mellanrum är fonetisk skrift. För ett antal år sedan var det en naturlig del av undervisningen, så ser det inte riktigt ut idag. Kanske beror detta på att de digitala verktygen hjälper eleverna med ljudbilden på ett annat sätt. Vissa lärare arbetar även idag med det, själv berör jag det knappt alls i varken tyska eller engelska. Fonetik nämns inte specifikt i kursplanerna för engelska och moderna språk i Lgr11, men i det centrala innehållet finns en punkt som lyder ”Språkliga företeelser för att förtydliga, variera och berika kommunikationen som uttal, intonation och fasta språkliga uttryck, grammatiska strukturer och satsbyggnad.” Här presenterar jag ett upplägg som jag genomförde med en klass i år 9, där alla elever hade varsin iPad. Jag introducerade ämnet med en kort film om uttal från BBC. När de hade fått ungefärlig koll på hur man skulle läsa ut dem gick de vidare till kartan med ljuden, där de själva fick klicka fram ljud.
