Since the new year has started I’ve been trying to think of ways to be more kind to my self. Especially when that nasty gremlins try to creep in and stump me. I remembered this origami star video on You Tube and had to get them involved in my plan. I thought it would be fun to make a whole bunch with kind words and “you are….” phrases inside.

Paper beads
I made these paper beads a while ago and dug them out the other day for my eldest son to play with. At three and a half he’s grown out of playing with his chunky threading beads – so these were the perfect replacement. They are so easy to make and surprisingly sturdy.

Craft Room.
Craft Room- AKA: My Office, Where I get my "craft" on, Where my mojo flows, My Design Studio, My Spa, My Getaway Space, My Sanity Saving Spot, My Creative Space, My FAVORITE Room in the House! How can I recycle this?
This site started from a bowl of pistachio nut shells. After we gorged ourselves on their lovely innards, they, the shells, just sat there, looking useful and versatile – but we no idea what we could possibly do with them. Just throwing them on the compost heap seemed a waste – all the effort to make them tough and solid, and here we were just hoping they’d rot back down to mulch before the potatoes needed earthing up.

We are at our little cottage in Dalarna and we are fixing it up. So we are able to use it even in the winter. (Dalarna is in th middle/north of Sweden. To me and Jenny it’s north but Sweden is a very tall country so I guess we are not even in the middle). Anyway it’s great cause I have the time and space to do lots of DIY projects.
