I spent a lot of time going back and forth on where to start, whether I’d go over spreads or reading for others or something else, but journaling has to be the thing that helped me the most. When I first started to read tarot, I spent a lot of time trying to memorize keywords. Then I started journaling, and suddenly things clicked. There are a lot of methods to tarot journaling. My journaling style is a bit chaotic. If this sounds a bit like a mindfulness practice, it kind of is! Recently, I’ve started illustrating the card I’m working with.
