The Saint Bernard Dog Breed – หมาพันธุ์เซนต์เบอร์นาร์ด. As devoted as they are protective, the Saint Bernard is a loyal family dog. It has a mellow personality and loves to be near its people. Its patience extends to children, even small ones. But the big, deep-chested breed can develop bloat, which requires prompt and expert treatment. It is also prone to hip and elbow problems. In the 1800s, Swiss monks who lived in the mountains noticed that their Saint Bernard dogs’ heightened sense of smell helped them find stranded travelers during snowstorms and avalanches. The modern Saint Bernard’s massive size, calm demeanor and friendly nature make it an ideal companion for families with kids. A Saint’s massive head has a short, wide muzzle with a scissor or level bite, and its medium-sized eyes are dark in color.

Like many large breeds, a Saint Bernard can suffer from hip dysplasia. This breed is prone to separation anxiety, so it’s a good idea to keep him socialized as early as possible, so he can become comfortable with being alone.
