Houston is the Most Diverse City in the US. Houston, the fourth largest city in the United States, is the most diverse city in the country. According to data from the US Census Bureau, Houston scored a 100 on five metrics, with a score of 71.87. These 10 most diverse cities in the US all have more than 300,000 people within their city limits. Houston's linguistic diversity is particularly impressive. The Census Bureau reports that less than half of Houston's residents only speak English at home; 23.2% speak Spanish, 14% speak another Indo-European language (including Italian, Persian or German), 11.5% speak an Asian or Pacific Island language and 4.4% speak another language (such as Arabic, Hebrew or native languages like Navajo).

Silver Spring, Maryland has a high foreign-born population compared to the US overall. Toronto often goes unrecognized as one of the most diverse cities in the world, but it is home to more than 250 ethnic groups and 175 different languages.
