However, as drone technology advances, so does anti-drone technology. One increasingly popular method of preventing unwanted or unidentified drones is through drone signal jamming - but what exactly is it? And how does it work?

A drone signal jammer is a device that blocks the GPS signals from reaching the drone. This disables your drone’s ability to fly and land safely, which can cause it to crash into buildings or other obstacles.
While this does not pose a safety risk for you or others around you, it will force your drone to land in an unexpected location and could damage it.
Drone jammers block the drones' GPS signals, which prevents them from sending their location back to their controller. This disables the drone's ability to fly and land, or even return to its starting point. For smaller drones, this can be enough to cause them to crash land. Larger drones that have a parachute-landing system will be disabled but still able to fly - so they can then be easily identified and hacked into by anti-drone systems like SkyFence. Either way, drones that haven't been properly tracked can't be controlled and are rendered useless.
