The Seoul Olympics Commemorative National Sports Promotion Corporation (Chairman Cho Hyun-jae) held a group blood donation event with the Incheon Blood Center of the Korean Red Cross on March 3.
The group blood donation event was organized with the voluntary participation of the employees of the Gyeongneung Police Headquarters to help supply adequate blood that cannot be stored for a long period of time.
The blood donation started at 10 a.m. in the parking lot of the Gwangmyeong Spydome with a blood donation vehicle from the Incheon Blood Center of the Korean Red Cross, and employees who participated were given the opportunity to check their health status, including blood tests, blood pressure tests, antibody tests, and cholesterol tests.
One employee who participated in the blood drive said, "I donated blood because I was happy to be able to help save the lives of patients in a small way."
"We are planning to hold a group event in August, and we will do our best to become a model public institution that practices ESG by continuing to hold meaningful events like this one," said an official from the Gyeongkyung General Affairs Headquarters who organized the blood donation event.
