Soraya Pomran will not join the team due to personal reasons

GS Caltex, the women's professional volleyball team, has changed its foreign player for the Asia Quarter.
GS Caltex announced on April 28 that it will replace its foreign player for the Asia Quarter with Philippine national setter Iris Tolenada (32).
GS Caltex, which selected Indonesian Medi Yoku in the non-face-to-face Asian Quarterly Draft held in South Korea in April, replaced its Asian Quarterly foreign player with Thai setter Soraya Pomra last month, citing team tactics.
However, Pomra was not able to join the team.
"Soraya Pomra has informed us that she will not be able to play volleyball for the 2023-2024 season due to personal reasons, so we are making another change," GS Caltex explained.
Iris Tolenada has played for the Philippine National Team and won various individual awards in her home league, where she is known for her quickness and agility, according to the organization. Her passionate play also fits well with GS Caltex's team style and will be a great addition to the GS Caltex setter lineup in the future.
Iris Tolenada is expected to join the team next month and start practicing with the squad.
Meanwhile, GS Caltex, which returned from a training camp in Japan last week, will open Group B of the 2023 Gumi Dodram Cup Professional Volleyball Tournament against Thailand's Chonburi on March 30 at Gumi Park Junghee Gymnasium.
