Pilesgrove could host greenhouse facility that produces sustainable electricity

(Submitted Photo) PILESGROVE TWP. — The township could be home to a new and unique facility that produces sustainable fuel and generates electricity using a water plant. The Behrens Energy, Agriculture, and Robotics Group is behind the project and are hoping to put a pyramid-shaped greenhouse structure on a piece of land in Pilesgrove to create and sell electricity. Power is created through a plant that floats on water — the duckweed. Duckweed is converted into methane, which is then used for electricity. “We are completely green, clean and sustainable.

101 Ways To Heal The Earth

The answer is: a lot. This list of 101 suggestions doesn’t begin to exhaust the possibilities; use it as a creative jumping off point and come up with your own ways to make an impact. The unifying themes here are changes in lifestyle that: (1) reduce energy usage and slow down the fires of industrialism; (2) protect and restore the environment so that its climate-stabilizing mechanisms are preserved; (3) increase individual participation in governmental and economic decisions; and (4) facilitate a deep personal commitment to caring for the Earth. The point is not to feel guilty for not doing all 101, but to use this list to empower yourself and your friends to take action. Find one thing you can do, do it, and then find another. This list is distilled from three sources: "The Greenhouse Crisis: 101 Ways to Save the Earth," published by the Greenhouse Crisis Foundation, 1130 17th St. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7.

As homes, they are less common, although the igloo is a notable exception. And that’s too bad, because domes are incredibly strong structures that enclose a volume of space more economically than conventional architecture that is based on squares and rectangles. In a dome, the roof and exterior walls are integrated into a continuous curved surface, which removes the need for the space- and material-wasting interior support walls and attic. Dome dwellers also enjoy more efficient and less expensive use of heating and cooling resources, since a dome’s decreased surface area allows less heat to escape in the winter and infiltrate in the summer, and air circulates naturally in a round structure.

Bottled water, an environmentally destructive product.

The report further emphasized that Nestlé’s Pure Life Purified Water is the only one of the top 10 domestic brands that readily offers this information. Why the ambiguity of it all? EWG Research Analyst Nneka Leiba explained: “The U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the agency that regulates bottled water, does not require bottle water manufacturers to disclose the geographic source of their products on their labels or on their website.” Yet, oddly enough, it’s the source of the water that plays a role in contaminant levels, and that’s why activists within EWG are sounding the whistle.
