Depuis les hauteurs du Roc de Casteldos, on peut apercevoir en contrebas, le village du Bousquet, situé à une altitude moyenne de 1100 m. Ce village est relié à la commune voisine d'Escouloubre via le Col de Garavel (prononcer GARABEL en occitan) à une altitude de 1262m. Ce col se trouve au pied du Roc de Casteldos, site de l’ancienne forteresse d'Eskolobris entièrement ruinée. On y trouve une belle croix de granit ancienne dont la partie supérieure fut retrouvée lors du percement de la route départementale D 17 au début du xxème, la partie inférieure et la base fut exécutée par un granitier local ; placée quelque temps au village de Le Bousquet elle fut replacée définitivement au passage du col.
