The Left Field Dancehall Experience. In fact!

The Left Field Dancehall Experience

Returning to the old fashion mode of having a whole album with no particular singles, but instead, creating a whole concept that needs to be listened as a complete piece to complete the puzzle. Carnnibal drops a new album in where dancehall meets Jamaican- West- African Roots; but also keeps the Left Field approach that earned Carnnibal a shout in UK’s The Guardian music section, as well as some highlights in several blogs. Still elusive to social media, Sah Brukout aka Carnnibal, prefers his music to do the talking. It is a fundraising EP, in which all collected money will be reinvested in the Latino Resiste – Mal Dicen page so we can keep giving away more fantastic underground music for Free.

ONLY 5 Bucks!! The album also has his minimal Bass approach. Edits from Dancehall Kings Vybz Cartel, Damian Marley, Capetlon, Elephant Man & Tommy Lee, get blended with Original tunes featuring Ragga Twins, Diane Charlemagne. This one is really insane So Again.. Champeta Tropical. Sometimes people get exposed to an infectious riddim or genre that sounds African, but mostly is in Spanish, it has a resemblance to dembow, but still is very independent, heavily based in zouk, calypso, and tropical 70′s & 80s cumbia as much as digital beats, reggaeton and nowadays EDM dynamics.

Champeta Tropical

That is Champeta. This post Mad Decent explores some of the most recent champeta releases from the planet. That genre is still an unknown territory not only for many readers but also djs. Electro-champeta pioneer Kinky Electric Noise, released his new album Terapia Digital a day ago, in where you can find this beauty: as well as this one: GRAB THE ALBUM IN TWO FORMATS: WAV (click here) or 320 (Click here) for FREE But champeta has not only this African-World music approach: It has a lot of Caribbean roots as well This is a more Urban approach that gets confused with reggaeton in most cases Systema Solar who are actually releasing these days their new album brings a champeta as well !! TB goes Zoukbass. If you are reading this, I want first; to advise, that this article mostly wants to give a fast understanding about the zoukbass scene.

TB goes Zoukbass

Its main intention is to engage people to discover and search for old and new artists from the zouk, pre-zoukbass, tarraxhina, kizomba scenes. Second, to let you know in advance that you should dedicate some minutes to read and perhaps click several music videos or music streams, (at least several seconds so you can make an idea of the music genre and its sound) by saying that, I mean this post may be worth a bookmark if your free time runs out. Third, because since the Antilles got African slaves, until the digital era, several billion important things have happened; many names will be omitted, perhaps forgotten in the history depending who is reading the article.

The more you know about the ‘real zouk and kizomba scene’ the more names you may know, and subsequently the more vague this article will be. So let’s begin: But how on earth is this new?
