A mommys life with a touch of yellow. I don't know about you but I love mason jars.

There is so much you can do with them. I have done a whole picnic using only mason jars, stored salads for the week in them, used them as cups and for decor containers for parties, utensil holders, and vases. They are so pretty and you can do so much with them just in their pure clear form, but for spring I really wanted some color on them. I love this look but thought of going a bit more bold and making them look shabby chic and vintage, but elegant and pretty all at the same time.

How about using chalky finish paint and mason jars to create a lovely DIY planter box? Not only is this project customizable to any color and decor style, but it is a simple craft that can be created quickly. This chalk painted mason jar DIY planter box can be used for home decor, parties, and even wedding centerpieces. Step 1. You’ll start by washing and drying your mason jars thoroughly to prepare for painting. After the jars are dried, you’ll start painting the exterior of the mason jars with chalky finish paint using a sponge brush.

I can’t wait to make more! It started all with the wish of having a lid for my recycled tins. I mean: that’s how they become more than just another recycling project, don’t they? The lids are also very handy when you want to use the tins for storage. Centsational Girl. Have I ever mentioned I want to take up sculpture?

Centsational Girl

No, I mean it, I really do. I want to take a real class someday to study the art form, it intrigues and inspires me to no end. Centsational Girl. Hello all, thanks for all the nice compliments on the courtyard project!

Pair with brightly-colored flowers to add a bit of cheer to any room in your house. Or use them as centerpieces or decorations for your parties this summer. Don’t forget to save your wine corks to make these adorable Wine Cork Succulent Magnets! Before you head to the craft store, a few notes on the paint I used for these polka dot wine bottle vases… Often, to paint on glass, I use Acrylic Enamel paints, which are cured either in the oven or over several weeks. Such paints work well on glass. You will need to do two to three coats of the chalk paint for opaque coverage, but the Acrylic Enamels would take even more coats. Creations by kara. Creative Home. We’re back today sharing distressed mason jars, a craft room organization solution. I’m in the process of sprucing up my craft room and needed some of my quick grab items a little closer to my craft table. My current mason jars house all my small accessories like washi tape, buttons, glue sticks etc., and I was having a hard time getting quick access to my daily use, taller items that would stick out of the tops of the mason jars. My scissors and paint brushes are my most used items, and I want to store them on the table instead of behind me on the herringbone built in. Creme de la Craft. Awaken your senses!

Give that empty perfume bottle on your dresser a second life and turn it into a reed diffuser. A perfume bottle is the perfect container for creating diffusers with its elegant shape that will add a decorative touch to any room and its small opening to slowly release the fragrance, filling your home with a long-lasting aroma. Regardless of the scent you choose, a handmade diffuser will always smell a little sweeter. Debbiedoos. It’s been a while since I have shared a good ole fashioned vase project.
