This strand of the Innovation Strategy in Education and Training aims to identify the skills required for innovation-driven societies and how education stakeholders can foster them. What skills are needed in order to promote innovation at the society level?
The research literature on skills for innovation shows that innovative societies require a broad mix of skills. How do the most innovative organisations make use of their staff’s skills? Innovative workplaces typically support individual and organisational learning and training and give discretion to their employees. At the individual level, we define “skills for innovation” as: technical skills (knowledge and expertise or know-how in a field); skills in thinking and creativity (critical faculties, imagination, curiosity); and behavioural and social skills (self-confidence, energy, passion, leadership, collaboration, persuasion).

6 Ed Tech Tools to Try in 201 6. About a year ago, I published an e-book called the Teacher’s Guide to Tech. Over the last month, I have been updating it for 2016, adding over 30 new tools and refreshing the information I had about the original ones. I have to say, the 2015 version was excellent, but now it’s SO MUCH BETTER. (To take a peek at the guide, scroll to the bottom of this post.) In the process, I discovered some tools that I absolutely fell in love with, and I wanted to share them with you here.
Let’s take a look.
