Bra 2 Bustier Top. I've spotted bralets and bustiers - cropped and otherwise - all over Topshop, Urban Outfitters, etc.

Bra 2 Bustier Top

I never could find one that 1) fit me well and 2) was in a print I liked. So I set out to make my own, using a strapless bra. I almost want to call this a "faux" bustier because it's so easy - it's really just fabric wrapped around a strapless bra, in a sense. I made this top with high-waisted shorts/pants/skirts in mind, so it hits right above my waist. It's up to you how long or short you'd like your top to be. If you decide to make this, you MUST make sure that you're able to put on (and take off!!) (EDIT 6/12: Check the comments for an awesome suggestion by rhelm_2: "To make it easier to get off and on, you could do step seven first and instead of sewing all the way up to the top on this step, only sew until the last inch or two.

Flutter Sleeve

Ever. I am lucky to be fairly strong, but my upper arms are not very well defined, so if I can avoid exposing them, I do. This is sometimes tricky, as there are many summer styles that are sleeveless. So, if there's a shirt or dress that I adore, but it comes sans sleeves, I add a flutter sleeve to cover the doughier parts of my upper body. I love using a lightweight chiffon or knit chiffon, which work great for the dupioni top in this example, but if I'm working with a more casual top, a drapey knit also works fabulously. This one involves some math, but don't panic. First, measure around the upper part of your arm between the two points you wish you to attach your flutter sleeve.

Halter Top. Fringe Top. I saved the fringe top below to my Pinterest a while ago because it looked like a DIY version would be pretty simple.

Fringe Top

It wasn't until a fellow Pinterester commented on it, asking for a tutorial that I actually tried it out. It was really easy to do, and if I didn't pause to take pictures of my process, it could totally be done in less than 15 minutes. I decided to spruce mine up with some gold beads, but you also could dip-dye the fringe, weave it, ect. Check out the tutorial below: 1. 2. 3. Long Sleeve 2 Fringe Top.
