YARN BRACELET DIY!
See the updated version of this project here! This was one of my favorite crafts to make because it is really relaxing just like knitting and crocheting! This is just like making one of those paracord bracelets, except with yarn. I got some neato small yarn just for making these! Here is what you will be making: These are straight, but you don't need an expert to tell you that making them into a bracelet is as easy as knotting the two ends together (which is what you do..).
Double Strand Lace Headband
Today’s headband DIY is how to make a Double Strand Headband. This headband is made almost exactly the same way as the Single Lace Headband. All you need is 36 inches of lace or ribbon 1 inch width or narrower. I used 1/2 inch width lace from Joann’s Fabrics. 3 1/2 inches of braided elastic 3/8 inch width or larger. Cut the lace so that you have two strands that are 18 inches long.
the DIY: FISHTAIL FRIENDSHIP (BRACELET)
If you know how to do a fishtail braid to your hair, then you pretty much know how to make this bracelet. But for those of you who don't know about the fishtail and those of you who are curious about the logistics of my specific bracelet, well, read on! You will need embroidery/ friendship thread in various colors, some tape and a bead! I used 9 strands of thread in 9 different colors. You could do this with only 2 different colors or whatever color variety you want. My strands were about 3 feet long each.
Trash can made of plastic bottles
Hi there here, this it´s about a trash can made up of plastic bottles, its a little bit laborious but it worth it spend a little bit of your time to make it and go green. All you need its a bunch of plastic bottle preferably of the same kind to make it easy. several meters of galvanized thin steel wire a steel frame,a tweezers, a drill and a sharp knife. You need to cut the bottom of the bottle so you can put one bottle in other. then with the drill make a hole in the cup and make another hole in the bottle that you didnt cut. after that put the wire into the two bottles to make a species of skewer of two bottles. make as many of skewers you need to make an entire trash can and then put them in the steel fram using the tweezers to tying the bottles.
Paper Starburst Pendant Light
So I had a different project that I was going to post today, an update version of my Book Pages Pendant Lantern from Project 19, but then I started working on this light idea, and I am so excited by the results I just couldn’t wait to show you guys! My inspiration and guide was this light from Design*Sponge, that I spotted on Pinterest. I really liked the idea, and I had a roll of white vellum lying around left over from college that I thought would look beautiful. So I started cutting triangles. And then I started glueing.
DIY Woven Chain Bracelet
Chain link bracelets, with colorful threads woven through them, have been popping up here and there. We adore Aurèlie Bidermann‘s Do Brazil bracelets and thought it was about time we graduate to the ultimate “grown-up” friendship bracelet. When I was looking around for tutorials on making paper beads, I found some really striking "book beads" and accessories, now collected in this post. I understand (after all the browsing) that you can make really durable "beads" easily ... very little time, skill or money required. Woohoo! Who doesn't need more jewelery? High Functioning Coat Hooks
Back in Los Angeles, any old coat rack or a few hooks by the door would do. Most of us would just toss a jacket in the back of the car in the winter months. But here in Vermont we need a little more. Many of the vernacular farm houses I visit have at least a half dozen hooks per person lined up in their mud rooms. My wife and I each will have several different coats, jackets and vests in play all winter long.
Toilet Paper Art « This Handmade Circus
This is absolutely the most popular piece of artwork in our home, so I decided that this would be the perfect tutorial to start with! This is made from all recycled paper towel and toilet paper rolls, but everyone thinks it is made of iron. It is super light weight and you can change it to look anyway you would like and costs less than 1$!
Headband Refashion
Our headband had a flower that was starting to look a little tired and worn so we made it new again! This braided ribbon could embellish many things— a hair clip would be cute too! These headbands would make great handmade gifts for little girls to make each other! Woven Ribbon Headband Gather a headband and about 4 1/2 yards of ribbon.
